Does any school have a comparable site?
TigerDroppings has a wider base, but nothing like the whole media thing.
Other than that, I don’t know of anything comparable.
Their board may be a circle jerk of sycophancy and copium, but give credit where it’s due for how they have capitalized on a desperate, loyal, and wealthy fan base to produce and deliver original content and monetize it.

Because its fast, functional, and basically untouchable. It serves its purpose, and nothing more.
It makes one of those 247 sites feel like running with ankle weights.
And whether you like it or not - if you don't sound like an Aggie homer - they throw your arse out of there.
The goal of TexAgs is not pile up as most posters as possible, and not to flicker as many ads as possible.
I wouldn't complain if I were you.

If you think you can do better then start one.
I like TexAgs although I do not agree with everything that goes on at that site. From a business standpoint, TexAgs is what every other fan site wishes it could be. It is a $10+ million dollar business and all of the owners have become millionaires from it.
Interestingly enough, I have probably made a dozen great gun deals off of TexAgs. It is the only fan site that I know of that will let you buy and sell guns.

If TexAgs disappeared tomorrow, you would have the same fans having the same conversations on another site. Whoever ran the new site would be overly optimisitic, like the operators of every fan site in America.
The problem is the culture of the university. It is a cocktail of thinly veiled racism with 2 shots of violently homoerotic rituals and a dash of inferiorty over everything having to do with the University of Texas. A&M has been betrayed by its leadership for generations. This bleeds over into the fans, so you get a weird fansite.
