Yeah, because everyone like you who really knows baseball understands a new head coach can turn a college baseball team into a CWS champion in 9 months after the previous coach was fired...

EDIT: What was your previous screen name? You know, the one that you're banned from using...

With the right NIL in todays game anything is possible.

True, and using your logic, it's possible South Carolina could turn this season around at any time.

…Jay took Arizona to the CWS finals in his first year on the job after Arizona failed to make the NCAAT the year before

That's why people differ to silly stuff like talking about someone being banned when they clearly don't understand the game of baseball and how you may not be able to turn into a championship Contender the next year but you can definitely turn it around

Reminds me of Les going to Kansas. I’m sure the final outcome will be the same.

Paul was a good guy a above average coach he has done nothing but shown LSU respect.
If you get let go your old job, the old job shouldn't resent you for getting a new job.
It's a bad look I wish him well except aginst LSU.

This is true

I don't think he was let go but rather stepped away for health reasons.

They should not if he was let go or forced out and particularly he left for health reasons and a few years away from the grind has allowed him to recover fully and the position he left was not available to him any longer. So he accepted another offer as anyone would in a similar situation if they wanted to return to work.

I'll pull for Paul unless him winning hurts LSU or if he is playing LSU.

I assure you that the fan base was not happy with this. Two old men got together and thought..."this will work"....and it wasn't from the beginning. I am hoping the new AD will put an end to this....and Monty Lee is not the answer either. Geez....this program was the best in baseball at one time. I would have rather given Landon Powell a shot.

The ONLY reason this claim can be is due to Paul being the HC at LSU at the time.
