It seems to me like people think they're invincible or something? Like what I saw last night was nothing special.
I think Bama would've beat Arizona by 10 plus.
Arizona isn't good. Their bigs are very suspect.
Duke played against a team with no height. They dominated them in the paint.
Get their freshman big in FOUL trouble and Duke will be FOOD because the other guy isn't all that and he FOULS (HOLD) a lot!
Alabama has the offense and they have the defense to win this game.
I can't wait!

Duke hasn't played a top 10 team (in AP or KenPom) in 3.5 months if my math is right. They might beat us 7 out of 10 times, but we'll be the best team they've seen by a mile this calendar year, which might throw them off a little bit.

Woke up to an elite 8 under the Christmas tree… We beat a Christian school, a Catholic school, a Mormon school, and now it’s time to beat the Devils!!!
I will say this, they will probably have the refs, and a better ability to control the flow of the game than most squads. If we could rebound a little better I’d feel better about it.

Kneupel and Flagg are both freshmen. Hopefully, Sears and Nelsons experience along with our supporting cast can take advantage.
Everyone we play has a weak arse schedule in comparison to ours. I think they’ve played 5 ranked teams prior to NCAAT.
We’ve played what 15? prior to NCAAT. We’ve also scored 100+ on more ranked teams than they have played.
We are battle tested…Duke is no better than any other team we’ve played. Period.

I can't see this happening. I'm not usually one to complain about the refs but it is hard to ignore the treatment Duke and Flagg get. We will have to beat them with the expectation all their starters will be on the floor with fouls to give at the end of game.
I think we have enough bodies to throw at Flagg to slow him down. Or we could also say let him get his and make someone else beat you. Will be interesting to see how Oats attacks them.
Either way, no place I would rather be than facing another blue blood (the bluest of bloods) for a chance to go to B2B Final 4's. My younger self tthat watched Wimp, Horry, Hollywood, McDyess, etc hit that Sweet 16 wall would never believe this.

Flagg wont be in foul trouble. But they have other freshmen that might get in some trouble in the paint. Our guys are good about pump faking and getting a defender off his feet.
As for defending Flagg, i think he likes to take his mid range shots, so we will be happy to let him. But we gotta keep Proctor from getting red hot.

I haven't really watched much of Duke this year, but I was surprised to see them call the game pretty evenly against Arizona. Both teams ended with 24 and 22 fouls. Outside of that egregious no-call, it wasn't as bad as I've heard.
Hopefully we get our first decently officiated game of the tourney. The refs last night vs BYU were probably the worst I've seen.

Not the style of play, but we are the San Diego St from 2 yrs ago against them.
They have the talent (projected 3 in the top 10 draft) but we have the experience.. We need to use that, play loose and confident. . Have them make mistakes, overthink, play stiff.
We have to limit in the paint shots, we cant give them easy 2s, where they can get in a rhythm and gain confidence.

I’m with you Alum. I have seen that Sweet 16 wall over and over. This run is incredible for us old guys.

I feel about Duke the same way I used to feel about Notre Dame in football.....before we kicked their arse in the title game and got redemption. Would love to send Duke home.

very much so. in fact i would say more than enough guys to wear him out and make him wonder who stole and ate his grits, particularly mo. i believe our depth in general is what will bring it home for us to offset the foul issues that im sadly expecting to see as well.
