Sorry nobody posted in your awesome thread
Covid is only a symptom, it’s the wages of sin that leads to death. Repent and trust in Jesus!
Really??? Couldn’t go without saying hope he gets better at passing?? You’re a dumb…..

Just kidding. I agree! Wish him the absolute best!

Y’all think Deion is in on it? Understanding the boy needs time to develop?
There’s only one count that will matter in the end. That’s those who have been counted as righteous because of their faith in Jesus Christ.
The more we learn about archeology, science, history, geography, space, humanity and morality, the more we see the Bible is true and Jesus is Lord. It’s not the opposite.

It’s truly amazing.

While there are many errors the RCC teaches, I believe a few big ones are (in no particular order) the doctrine of Purgatory; prayer to the saints; justification by faith and meritorious works; papal infallibility; the addition of man-made traditions as equal in authority to the Scriptures; and the several recent Marian dogmas (immaculate conception and her assumption into Heaven in particular).

Sorry I thought this thread died. Yes though, I would agree with these being the bigger most important errors they make.

I mentioned most of these in an earlier post in this thread.

Being an uneducated, late to faith in life kind of guy, it will never cease to amaze me how people can’t see the grace of God. But I also have plenty of life lived in the dark and know it’s part of His grace to open our eyes.

I have a cousin in law that’s becoming a priest and it’s the saddest thing I think I’ve ever witnessed. I’d rather chat with a meth addict about God.
quote:

No one can "Seek God" that the Holy Spirit has not stirred their hearts to seek him. Plenty of "non-Believers" have been touched by the Holy Spirit and most importantly "responded" to the calling to seek God. God is for everyone and he wishes for all to reconcile with him. but no one can move toward God until they allow the Holy Spirit to move them.

We disagree slightly in theology, but God bless you brother! If someone comes to Jesus, the Bible says He will NOT cast you out! Come!
The Bible states that the lost are not seeking God. It’s the believers that GET to seek after God. In Revelation where it says knock and the door will be open, it’s talking to believers.

We as believers MUST seek after God! We know our NEED!

But we must pray, love on, and share truth as if God Himself is pleading for the lost to come to Christ through us. Because He is!

Whoever is reading this and is lost, not having been reconciled to the one true God, I pray the Father gives you to the Son in this very moment!

Repent and believe the gospel!!
Just more evidence of our desperate need for a gracious and merciful savior.

Nike backing trans studies??

quote:

The New York Times published more than 10,000 words about former San Jose State volleyball player Blaire Fleming over the weekend. Fleming is a biological male who identifies as a woman, who competed on the women's team and who helped make the Spartans one of the top teams in their conference. Buried deep in the story was a single paragraph that should raise some eyebrows. The author mentions Joanna Harper, a biological male who identifies as a woman and purportedly studies transgender athletes. It's important to note that Harper played an advisory role in the 2015 Olympics transgender decision allowing males to compete in women's Olympic events with testosterone suppression. But that's not the interesting part. "Harper is currently helping to lead an ambitious study of trans adolescents that measures their results on a 10-step fitness test before they start hormone therapy and then, after they have begun to medically transition, every six months for five years," the NYT story reads. It continues, "But, she told me when we talked in February, ‘the current climate makes the study somewhat uncertain.’ I assumed she was referring to the Trump administration’s cuts to National Institutes of Health research grants, but she said money was not a problem: The study is being funded by Nike. The problem was Trump’s separate order targeting medical care for transgender youth. ‘If we can’t perform gender-affirming care,’ she explained, ‘then we can’t bring people into the study.’"

quote:

Wait, "the study is being funded by Nike?" Why is a sports apparel company allegedly funding research that focuses on children and young teenagers taking potentially life-altering medications simply to try and prove that males should be allowed in girls' and women's sports? Basic common sense tells us they shouldn't.
Catholicism is a tragedy. Jesus saves!!
Haley didn’t think to say her family members either. Why not? Why shark immediately?
Watched the whole season and on the final “challenge” they had four people left.

For one special girl, the first challenged was rafting. She’s a professional white water rafter.

The next challenge this same girls team had to pick a five letter word to act as a code to unlock a box before continuing on. Just so happens her team calls her shark and there was an entire segment on how that nickname meant so much to her in the previous episodes. The passcode was SHARK.

Then the final obstacle was to decipher morse code. The girl and her team just so happened to have Morse code tats.

This girl paddled a weak attempt across a lake, then gingerly trotted through the woods and was gift wrapped $250,000 because the producers of this show for some reason made sure of it.

The whole season was full of these types of moments but this last episode was too obvious not to rant about somewhere lol

Anyone else on earth watch that crap?

I know enough about Catholicism to know it doesn’t line up with Gods word.

Also, are you preaching universalism?

Leave it to a catholic to say there’s possibly 45,000 true churches. I’m not claiming reformed Baptist are the only ones going to heaven or that they are the “one” true church. I’m just saying people calling the Roman Catholic Church the one true church is way off base.

The one true church are all individuals who by faith are found in Christ and His righteousness. That’s who makes up the church. Not a group of certain denominations.

I’m certain there’s people practicing Catholicism that will go to heaven, but it won’t be because of weekly mass, sin confession to priest, Hail Marys, purgatory pleas, or the tithes given. It will be by true faith by grace.

So I’ll not pretend to know the true church because it’s Jesus that separates the wheats and the tears! But we are to call out blatant lies when pertaining to scripture. Catholicism is full of lies. I’m not mad at Catholics here though. Love you guys.

We were around long before you Calvinists. We were saving souls and coverting nations long before you got a rock in your shoe over buying indulgences.

We originated with the ones that believe Jesus saves souls. Jesus forgives sin. Jesus did ALL the work necessary on that cross so someone can be saved for all of eternity. For His honor and His glory!

What do you think Paul would say if he came back and seen statues of him and other apostles put up in churches today? Or hearing prayers to Mary? Or seeing a system where people go to “priest” to ask for forgiveness of sin? (I could go on and on here unfortunately)

He would say “did Mary die for your sins??”

“Do we need more high priest??”

The pope would get a whole chapter of roasting.

He would probably tie Pharisees and Catholic leaders together in how they are the same sect and beware of people adding to the gospel. O wait, Galatians is a whole book dedicated to that issue.

We originated from the early believers and believe what they had to say about Jesus and being inspired by the Holy Spirit to relay it is more than enough and efficient for doing the complete work of God as it was intended from the beginning of time to complete Gods good and perfect plan! (Also for all unbelievers, you can look up the reliability of how we know the historical book called the Bible is by far the most reliable source of history known to man, and it’s not even close. You can trust it and test it)
