Meh, I guess we will see how it goes. He had a pretty good run at Arizona before the recruiting violations. Not thrilled with it but I will give him the benefit of the doubt

Well, he’s no Chris Beard but I’m sure he’ll get a stranglehold on the program and do good things

Texas just fired, basically Sean Miller.
A coach that has an Elite Eight as is ceiling, will get you to the tourney, but will likely underachieve.

Miller is comparable to Will Wade. Both solid coaches and both were paying players before it was legal.

If true, this really sucks. If we have no problem employing a scumbag, why not keep Beard? Why ruin the continuity of the program to hire a different piece of s**t? This is no bueno.

Miller is a good hire. I thought Texas would throw $10 plus million at Danny Hurley, but Miller is a proven coach, two terms at Xavier and one at Arizona.

I like the hire. Established coach who can make it to the second weekend. That’s what you need in basketball IMO. Get to the second weekend, and then get lucky on a run.

Nah. But TUA brass definitely snuck in a meeting with Miller in Dayton.

Both the Lakers and KY did that last year and he said no. No one is leaving UCONN for Texas.
