Eli Drinkwitz made a bold claim on Thursday when he went on The Paul Finebaum Show.

His 2025 Mizzou team, the one that has to replace an NFL Draft pick at wide receiver and a fan-favorite quarterback, will be the most talented football team he’s had in his 6 seasons with the program.

This is what I am talking about building the football program. Now let's show it on the field this coming season.

How does Mizzou replace Brady Cook? That’s one of the biggest questions entering the 2025 season. Beau Pribula transferred in from Penn State for a chance to win a starting job, and he’s competing this offseason with Drew Pyne and Sam Horn.

Mizzou went 10-3 last season, reaching double-digit wins for the second consecutive season. The program has never won 10-plus games in 3 consecutive seasons in Mizzou history. Drinkwitz seems optimistic.

Drinkwitz also said he wanted his 12 yr old daughter to marry Brady Cook.

He says a lot of dumb shite.

Horn was out after getting hurt from pitching. He ended getting a Tommy John surgery.
He played two sports. This year he is healthy. Ready to go to compete for the starting quarterback job.

What else is the coach supposed to say? If he honest, the NIL dries up.

Of course he said that. All he does is blow smoke up everyone’s arse all day long.

Next year he’ll say the same thing, and the year after (if he’s still at Mizzou).

Lots of teams would win 10 games with that embarrassment of a schedule last year and this year.

Pribula would need to be the answer …. and he’s somewhat of an unknown. His playing experience seems to mostly be mopups or against inferior opponents. But he played well in that Purdue game when he was under pressure.

Pyne - nope. Good player but has shown a tendency to make mistakes under pressure. Unless he fixes this, I don’t see him as the answer that Drink is looking for

Sam Horn - love this kid, big arm and even a bigger heart. Reminds me of Jax Dart …. except Dart thoroughly excels at reading defenses. Unfortunately, Horn does not have this ability, IMO.

Just my dos centavos ….

Coach speak. Everyone’s team every year is every coach’s best team. Nothing to see here.
