People are overlooking why Auburn lost 3 of their last 4 games.

Auburn wins at Texas A&M if their starting point guard plays.

Auburn wins at home vs Bama if CBM doesn't receive a flagrant 2 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd half.

The only true loss I see is the Tennessee game which came down to the last few seconds.

I don't see them as a team that peaked in January or mid February. They're still the same team they were then and should make the Final Four as long as they stay healthy and don't get kicked out of the game for thug like behavior. I give them a 25% chance of winning the national championship since they will be playing equal teams at that point.

The OP’s username is LSUGradAlabamafan. His flair is for Arizona State.

So, apparently this Auburn fan can’t decide whether to pretend to root for LSU, Alabama, or Arizona State.

Almost anytime a team loses, you can say “what if.” Super bowls have been decided by what ifs. Auburn has struggled lately and it’s completely legitimate for people to question how long they will last in the tournament because of that.

I disagree. They struggled when not at full strength. They only beat Tennessee by one point in January. Lost a close game in the final seconds this past weekend. Still the same team they were then without much of a drop off.

Wrong. Auburn was coasting. It's amazing how many didn't realize this.

Odds on that? Especially the thug behavior part.

Well, either he's from bama and left mommy and daddy to go out of state.... he was born and raised in The Boot but jumped on the "I'm a bama fan because I like yelling ROLL TIDE"... or he's girl told him to be a bama fan because pussy is undefeated.

Auburn has always coasted in games they get up big in. They immediately start playing sloppy and the game gets close again.

Auburn fans hope the same thing is happening at the season level and the team kicks it back into gear now that everything is equalized. If not, well be out before the elite 8 for sure.

His "Auburn's run at Number 1 is over" thread did a hell of a number on him this season.

Got trolled so hard he is pulling every excuse out to justify Auburn's last few weeks.

Struggled is relative. Auburn hasn't lost a R1/R2 type game all season. We've lost one "R3 type" game. And bracketing our very close losses to 2 seeds, we beat a 6 seed and a destroyed a 3 seed.

If you take the Bama/TN close losses, we've essentially got toss ups against 2 seeds, a you go into that knowing we've beaten both those teams already and other teams of that caliber.

I'm not excusing or writing off our recent performance, I'm saying that even factoring it in we're still a very realistic title contender (and a lot of the CBB media community agrees).

The Yale loss is looming large right now, but if this team has a let down of that sort, it will be the first time it's happened all year. Negativity is in our blood but I think this team has earned the benefit of the doubt.

Auburn blows everyone out and captures an SEC Championship, even celebrating at Toomer’s Corner with the trophy. The media praises them as already being the unanimous #1 seed no matter what happens.

They then lose 3 of the next 4 after having lost 2 total games in the 4 months prior to that.

Clearly the team nosedived and is finished. No shot they eased up after winning the toughest conference in NCAA history.
