No broadcast. My sauces are in touch with their Little Dance insiders as we speak.

Red Panda should be the championship half time show. The committee is working a visa issue with that right now.

Northern Colorado, UT Chattanooga, Akron, Liberty, and Utah Valley looking like locks.

Committee is using SOGology to determine seeding after Knit score calculator broke.

14 SEC schools begging for affirmation and 2 have the self confidence to say no.

It's true.

LSU, USCe, Indiana, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Pitt, and Northwestern all declined.

In the NIL/Transfer portal era of college athletics, how much longer does the NIT try and keep the tournament going?

True. So did LSU and Indiana. No-show Invitational Tournament.

I'm a bit surprised the conferences with the auto bids aren't forcing their teams to play.

I know it’s the NIT, but I hate how its reputation has been affronted to the point of probably going away.

It used to be a respected tournament.

It's the most irrelevant thing ever...win it all and claim you were #69 for the season. Whoopee.

there was an era where the NIT was arguably more well thought of than the dance.

If the NCAA grows to 76 or 80 teams, maybe they fold. Still there should be some postseason tournament for teams in the one bid leagues, same for the smaller bowl games. Vandy vs Ga Tech in Birmingham Bowl was great this year. Big crowd, much fun.

Then they should only invite teams from those leagues. There were more P5 teams that declined an invite (6 last I saw) than are actually playing in the tournament (4 by my count).

Up until the point shaving scandals in the early fifties it was as if not more important than the NCAA. The NYC gamblers ruined it and caused teams to boycott it. A lot of coaches felt that if they could get to Bradley’s and Kentucky’s players they could get to anyone.

If they want survive, the NIT should move to a 16 -32 team tourney to open the season. Kind of like the chick-fil-a kick off classic in football. Then it would actually mean something.
