Congrats to Tre. What a shooter he will be in the league. It sucks to waste away such talent on such a crap team.

Looks pretty reasonable.
Wade Taylor shouldn't be on the 1st team but whatever. Of guys who play 40% of minutes.....
- 105 out of 110 in 2pt FG%
- 53 out of 110 in 3pt %
- 100 out of 110 in eFG%
- 71 out of 110 in offensive rating
- 36 out of 110 in defensive rating
- 24 out of 110 in box plus minus
- 36 out of 110 in assist to turnover ratio
- 108 out of 110 in offensive rebound %
- 71 out of 110 in defensive rebound %
- 96 out 110 in block %
- 40 out of 110 in steal %

Shows that the best strategy these days might be recruiting guys who aren't considered NBA prospects so that you can keep them in school for a long time. Whether "too small" or not athletic enough, something that turns the NBA scouts off to them.

Asa Newell should’ve been 2nd or 3rd team
• 15 PPG
• 7 RPG
• 54% FG
• 2 Stocks/Gm
• Leads SEC in Offensive Rebounds
• Top 5 player in SEC in most player value metrics
Really hard to make a case for Mitchell or Edwards over him

Amari Williams and Lamont Butler not making All-SEC is pretty damn atrocious.

Butler only played 12 of 18 games.
Williams absolutely should have been

I guess they wanted a second Auburn guy on there, but this one is puzzling.

Outside of the techs, he’s had some pretty incredible games stat-wise.

I guess, but it seems odd to put a guy on the All-SEC team who is not in the top 20 in any statistical category other than flagrant fouls.

Dylan Cardwell should have been all defensive team

I also just realized they aren’t doing 8 players to a team anymore lol

Cardwell is the best one on one defensive big in the league
Mashack is the best one on one defensive wing in the league
Zeigler is the best one on one defensive guard in the league
IMHO

Was really hoping Anderson Garcia made the defense team.

Another guy who kind of quietly had an awesome year was Ivisic at Arkansas. Scored at a super efficient rate, led the league in block rate, rebounded well on defense.
Honestly with 16 teams might be worth have a 4th team. I could easily put 5 more together that would be a high quality lineup.
Grill, Ivisic, A. Martin, Brakefield, Thiero, Lanier, C. Carter, J. Moore, W. Taylor, Mitchell

Had to go down to 30% for just conference games but I knew that's where this was heading

All-Freshman Defensive Team
Somto Cyril, Georgia
Robert Miller, LSU
Karter Knox, Arkansas
Billy Richmond, Arkansas
Labaron Philon, Alabama
