However I hope Oats benches Grant Nelson and gives us a start with Sears, Jarin, Philon, YoungB and Cliff.
Have to start games faster, lessen turnovers and actually play defense. So we starting the game with the two guys who struggle at not turning over the ball and playing defense us what kills us.
We have to sit one of them (Sears, Grant)

I would replace Grant with Mo D.
It would give us better defense in our starting group and give us an advantage of Biz and Grant vs other teams backups.
Also the fanbases treatment of Sears is mind blowing. He is still the best player on the team and in program history.

We roll. 102-85 type game.

128 or so total TO's by two of 2 fifth year seniors. The game average seems manageable but many games these two have 7-8 combined. We got to limit this if we are going to win games and go deep in the dance. Needs to start today at home
I dont see us winning at AU or at UF but need to win the others

I don't think anyone would mind seeing Grant come off the bench right now. But how do you not start Dioubate at this point if benching Grant?

Sounds like Nate may tweak the gameday routine a bit in order to improve our shooting percentage at home. Would be nice to have a 40% day from long range.

I think my ideal lineup is
Holloway
Sears
Mo D
Jarin
Cliff
Youngblood first off the bench and really interchangeable with Mo depending on what you’re trying to get done. That line up gives you good shooting and what should be great defense.

Thanks. I swore I saw this was a road game a week or so back.

I think most everyone recognizes his huge contribution but it is more frustration with how much more effective he has proven he can be when he doesn't over dribble into no-win situations.

i think if sears continues at pg bama continues to struggle. he definitely should start but off the ball catch and shoot mode, not pg hero ball mode
if play continues as is, bama works themselves down to a 3-5 seed. so whatever cno needs to do to stop the bleeding, he should do starting today

I would worry a lot more about not giving up 94 points at home and following that up by giving up 110 points on the road.
Sears did everything humanly possible to keep Bama in the game against Mizzou and played a hell of a game.

Most accomplished? Absolutely.
Best? No.
He is extremely talented when the officials call hand checks and bodying.
When they don’t he struggles and often forces things instead of playing within the confines of the offense.
It’s why he struggles against teams like TN in the SEC but often plays outstanding basketball out of conference and in the tournament where the officiating is much tighter.

Sears turned it up in the second half of the game and did everything he could to keep us in it. I'm not sure that statement is true of his first half performance. I missed the first 10 minutes of the first half and was disgusted to see how far behind we got from the get-go. That can't continue to happen if we want to win these remaining games.

Holloway’s defense has been an absolute train wreck the last several games. He’s totally lost on that side of the ball.
You want the other team’s backcourt to get a quick offense start? Start our two worst perimeter defenders against them. That’s what made Wrightsell so key, he was an elite shooter and a plus on ball defender.
Edit: part of not starting MoD might actually be making sure he’s in when Holloway comes in to try to cleanup Holloway’s defensive mistakes. Holloway also helps the offense run in that situation since MoD isn’t quite as good at that end of the floor (although his off-road package and offensive rebounding has been largely keeping us from getting blown out these last 2 games).
