Has any university ever had 8 teams or more in the top 10 of their respected rankings at the same time? I can’t find anything online.

* LSU currently has 8 teams ranked inside the top 10 (of their applicable sport)
2 - baseball
3 - gymnastics
5 - softball
7 - womens basketball
8 - mens golf
8 - beach volleyball
8 - womens track
9 - womens golf

They always seem to win the Directors Cup at the end of the year but no one can point to a single championship.

A&M has 7 right now with another 4-5 teams in the top 25. I don’t think it’s super rare.

LSU has the best overall athletic program of the 21st century.

No other program has won 3 titles in 2 major sports since 2000.

Whorns and Aggy fans fight over the Director’s Cup because they can’t put any real trophies in the case.

Again, Whorn and Aggy are the same in different colors.

Since most of y’all don’t know how Directors Cup scoring works, here’s how it works.
NCAA Division I: Counts top 19 sports at each school with the following breakdowns:[5]
Four of which must be baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball
The next highest 15 sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, will be used in the standings (except men's water polo)[a]
For FBS Football: the top 25 teams are awarded points based on their final rank in the Coaches Poll. 26th place is considered a tie between every non-ranked bowl winner, and the next available rank is considered a tie between every non-ranked bowl loser.

I know Texas hasn’t won a title in a major men’s sport in 20 years.

I don’t need an explanation of a meaningless trophy that only programs that can’t win real titles care about.

What about the two that matter? Football and men’s basketball. Surely LSU is ranked in the top 20. The best athletic program would be ranked in the top 20 in the two most important sports. Wait… what is that?

LSU football finished unranked? And LSU men’s basketball is fighting just to finish .500?

Well, that certainly has to be disappointing for their fans.

Oh, the Gump is here.

Where is Alabama ranked in baseball and why haven’t they been to Omaha in the 21st century…?

LSU and Alabama have the same amount of Final Four appearances since 2000. LSU has more all-time, of course.

The only major sport Alabama fans have been able to celebrate is football and now their football program is in a nosedive after losing to unranked Vanderbilt.

Run along!

The Gumps who need fake accusations of racism to hide themselves from reality can’t seem to ever provide proof of said racism.

So fun to watch y’all repeatedly embarrass yourself.

The trashiest fanbase in all of the world, at least you still have that

Because they have put most of their resources towards football and men’s basketball instead of ancillary sports like baseball.

Other schools take a different approach and put lots of support towards lower profile, less competitive sports. LSU’s next big push will be pickle ball and corn hole.

You are so desperate to find something to be proud you latched onto the NFL. You fully embraced it without a hint of shame and even made it your username.

I love how Gumps used to say only football mattered, until Oats made them relevant in basketball. The “only sports that matter” are the ones Alabama is decent in, right?

Side note: LSU and Alabama had the same record in football this season.
