Well, not really. How in the hell did y'all win at Arky a few weeks ago?

Serious question, Sooner fans.
Is your halfcourt offense always that bad? I was having Cuonzo Martin and Mike Anderson flashbacks with how bad they looked. No flow, no teamwork. Is Moser on the hot seat, or does he get another year?

I can appreciate how much missouri fans on here relished finally being ranked above us (albeit by one spot) even if it was only a week.

Ak, the only thing you can truly appreciate is your collection of Ambigously Gay Duo action figures.

I'm guessing by scoring more points than they did.

Not a college basketball fan but I'll try and help. Porter has lost the last 3 games by 20+ points and has failed to make the tournament any year he's been here so yeah I'd say he may be done. The Lloyd Noble Center is great for gymnastics but sucks for basketball nobody like going to games there. Also the Thunder have pretty much killed OU and OSU basketball.

Sorry to hear that. I know the awful feeling when a team quits on it's coach.
Fun fact from last night's broadcast. MU and OU played each other in the MO Valley, Big 6, Big 8, and Big 12 for 93 years and now picked it up again. OU leads the all-time series 115-98.

Why are you here? This is an SEC Board. Another kansas fan searching for relevance as their university spirals down the toilet. The only thing you had was basketball, and now it is floundering beyond repair. All your athletic programs are embarrassing, and yet you still come onto MY conference boards to troll? Sad and pathetic...buh bye.

I'm sure it's just a massive coincidence that as soon as paying players became legal, Kansas basketball fell off a cliff.

To piggy back on Wishbone's comments (which I am 100% agreement with)..
There are a couple of things...
1) One more crappy season with Moser will save OU a bunch of money and not enough people care about basketball to be that worried about one more year of bad basketball.
2) Moser can't compete NIL wise with other teams for the top portal prospects... so we get leftovers... small school guys/DI journeymen and scrubs. This is particularly true for bigs. Our bigs consist of a Wafford guy/A Bama scrub/ and a Missouri HS POY who teams knew was limited coming out of HS/A Missouri bench guy who has never played.
3) OU is trying to build a new arena but are trying to get the city of Norman to fund most of it... and are getting a lot of pushback. That seems to be higher priority for the OU admin then even the actual performance of the team... because they realize the current arena is outdated.

how in the hell is OU penciled in as an 8-10 seed? They are in 14th place in the SEC and have lost their last 3 games by a combined 80 points

I'm a Norman resident, and I want nothing to do with the new arena proposal. It would be in a weird location 20 minutes from campus, parking would be a nightmare, and OU can spend some of that ridiculous tuition revenue on a new arena instead of the city residents footing the bill. And the thing is: the current arena is a perfect location with more than enough parking... renovate the damn thing! Or maybe better yet: demolish it and renovate the Fieldhouse instead.

shite changes fast Missouri went 0-18 in conference play to a decent basketball team in one year. Our hope is we can find a big man or 2 and it turn around but more than likely OU will keep its coach and go 12-1 or 13-0 in nonconference and miss the tourney again...... some of the teams we beat in non conference make you scratch your head about how we are so bad in the sec but its a height issue imo.

Umm we only have like 3 4* stars on the roster. I never understood that reasoning in basketball.

Yes, 17-7 and on pace for a 35th straight season with 20+ wins. What a plummet! The last 3 championships have been won by UConn and us. When does the parity start? I wish I knew what anything less was like. shite, how bad one must be to be ranked below us still!
Keep wishcasting

Right? NIL just destroyed any hope for that dumpy college in Lowrents. It was easy for them to cheat all those years paying players and their families. Now they have nothing to attract anyone to that ghetto.

A lot to consider here...
1) Tuition money doesn't go to athletics... Never has.
2) The north campus location is considered for two reasons... First OU already owns the land... and secondly... Fans from OKC have been bitching for years about how hard it is to get to south campus and in and out of the LNC parking lot. The north campus location would save them some time.
3) The main problem with the LNC... distance from the seats to the court...is not fixable with a remodel. It would take a demolition and rebuild which would be more expensive than building a new building.
4) The fieldhouse is not an option. Can't be remodeled and the footprint is too small for a new building.
But if you don't want to support the OU team by paying for a new arena... Don't shop in Norman. Go up to OKC and shop there... So you can pay for the Thunder's new arena. LOL.

1) While true, student fees do go to athletics. Tuition money goes to scholarships.
2) Fair point, but fans in OKC won't be clamoring for OU home games until we have a team with a pulse and the Thunder are down.. both are factors here
3) I get that, but honestly - are they really too far away? I've been to a many games over the years and never thought that was an issue.
4) parking would be an issue here as well. Too bad.
I have no issues with sales tex. But property taxes in Norman are already a criminal operation perpetrated by the commissioner.. another 25 years of additional taxes on top of the arbitrary annual increases? no thanks

Just need another Blake Griffin and Trae Young on the team. Problem solved…

Okay, I have to disagree with that. Having a professional sports team in a state, does not kill a team. I mean, Missouri has the Chiefs.
Tennessee (Memphis) has the Grizzlies.
OSU and OU both have a great history of bball, and the Thunder are not the problem. That I can 100% promise you. Look at the coaches, the recruiting, and how they're handling the portal.
Same thing that is happening to OU/OSU is slowly happening to Bill Self at kU. They are only going to get worse and worse. Mark my words. The game has passed them.
