He’s really been our rock offensively for many seasons. He’s gotten better defensively as well. If we make another final 4 what say you?

He's a top 1 all time Bama PG. Not saying he's the best PG to ever play at Bama, but he is the best Bama PG in the program's history.

He's already there. If he makes another final 4 he will go down as the best player in Bama history.

That’s the best way of putting it. If we make the elite 8 or final four this year, retire the man’s jersey.

Are we talking talent, production, results, all of the above?

He's probably not top 3 in talent, but he's a clear #1 in the rest. Overall I'd say he's #1.

Mark Sears has contributed as much to this program as any player has in our history.

He's top 1 and I'd argue depending on how the season shakes out, top 1 regardless of position.

Bama has had better players, but none of them played for 3 years. Sears has the longevity, stats, and team accomplishments to be considered the best Bama player of all time, not just a top 3 point guard.

I been saying he is the Greatest player on Bama basketball history.

2nd leading scorer on a #1 overall seed that made Sweet 16

Best player on Final Four team

And still tbd this year

Who else are options?
Ronald Steele? Terry Conner? Was Trevor Releford a PG?

Ennis Whatley, Gary Waites, Mo Williams, Collin Sexton, Jahvon Quinerly, Kira Lewis. It's a good group. But in terms of what they accomplished at Bama, Sears stands alone.

Agree.

Man, Ronald Steele's injury hurts me to this day.

Best HS player I've ever seen. The guy just had it. Early in his freshman year he had a game of 18 assists and no turnovers. Had he not had the injuries he would have been a 10+ year NBA guy with multiple all star appearances. Such a shame.

Perhaps a bit controversial but he isn’t even the best PG on the team right now. He is a much better scorer than distributor.

He should go down as the best player in Bama history. I don’t think it’s fair to assign him to PG or SG, maybe just call him the best guard to ever play at Bama.

And provide him with a harem of fertile 6'4"+ women.

That question needs to be asked in late March.
