I've been brainstorming ideas on how to alleviate this problem and have only come up with a partial solution so far:

Kick Missouri out of the conference

The problem is, after this obvious first step we still have two Tigers left. I was thinking maybe we could do a cage match to the death. Auburn selects their best warrior and LSU selects theirs. Whoever is left standing gets to keep the tiger moniker, the other has to change their name.

Potential name changes:

Auburn Eagles

Louisiana State Mud Bugs

We're actually thinking of changing our name to The Missouri "Suck Our Yankee Dicks" so that should take care of it on our end.

I wouldn't mind if Auburn changed their mascot to Eagles. Makes more sense than Tigers. The pre game flight by our bald eagle gives me chills every time. The aubie all he does is win championships.

LSU is the Fighting Tigers. Named after the Louisiana Brigade of the 1860s. We're different.

Well, half the country thinks their name is the Auburn War Eagles anyway, so...

Louisiana State Mud Bugs

Look, be nice. No reason to call their fans that.

Don't stress your brain too much on this topic. It's only one Tiger and they reside in Baton Rouge; we have our own Tiger, the pretenders do not.

Auburn - War Eagle
Missouri - Wildcats

Yes you are, but not in the way you think. Our "Tigers" date back to the Civil War as well.

This thread was started by a mildly retarded kid that lives in his mom’s basement at 40. The boredom must be excruciating.

One time my friend and I for some reason could not remember which team had an eagle that flies across the fans faces in pregame before landing back on trainer’s hand. We finally took to google only to realize it’s the team that insist on calling themselves the generic “tigers”.

Auburn War Eagles would have the greatest most majestic pregame tradition, but no one fully respects the tigers flying an eagle named Tiger. The whole thing is ruined.
