In a statement, the school said Broome “underwent an MRI which revealed a non-surgical, ankle sprain.” There was no immediate word on when he might return to the lineup for the Tigers, who will likely move into the No. 1 spot in The Associated Press Top 25 this week after top-ranked T

This is good news. If this is a high ankle sprain, can he do that Tua surgery? That is supposed to be back to new in 2wks

Probably the best news he could have received. Just don't rush it

Deja vu all over again.

Low takes less time to heal than high. Hopefully he heals quick and Auburn holds it down while he's out. Tough games ahead.

Low ankle
Man that is a terrible injury, especially for a round ball player
I still have nightmares of one I got (Dont even want to say how) that sidelined a major athletic "try" for me. frick
I assume that means he may not be back or may not be 100% for the Tennessee game.

I sprained the holy hell out of the ligaments in my lower ankle when I was playing bball around ~20 and I sprain that goddamn thing every other year now that it’s as loose as an old rubber band

Back in 2010, I was training for a 70.3. Yes its true. I was working a 16 week program to get ready to go to Orlando and do a half ironman. In week 15, I went to dinner with my wife on a Friday night to Long Horn at the Mall of Georgia. After dinner, I was walking to get the car and stepped off a very high curb, twisted my left ankle (heard it snap), started to fall and stuck it out to catch myself and turned it again then fell on my face in the parking lot.
I was done. Had to cancel after training after almost 4 months of work, everyday and two times a lot of days.
Was depressing AF.
A year later, I had parked the boat at the dock at 5am, was walking down the boat ramp after parking the truck and snapped it again. I had to crawl down and get in the boat. Like you said, it was like a damn rubber band'

I was one injured mad Mofo.
My ankle was yellow the next morning and I knew I was f'ed. I had never trained for anything like that and really enjoyed the training but it kind of took the wind out of my sails after that
The second time I put my leg out to catch myself, I tried to pull it back but it was too late. Snapped again and I fell.

I had a very advanced customer. I was prepping him for a upcoming tournament. I did the trip from the drivers seat. I took him around and he did the fishing and ran the trolling motor. I basically was there for locations "Lanier Spots" , and techniques.
I picked him up at another ramp so putting the boat back on the trailer by myself was a task. I cancelled my trips for a few days afterwards

I hope he has a quick recovery

I can sympathize with the guy who gets it again and again. I did essentially a total dislocation playing bball in grad school. On crutches for 2 weeks. Doc was stunned it wasn't broken. next year did it again but walked into the doc's office. because it was "chronic" they put me in a walking cast for 4 weeks. I guess it worked since I haven't done it again but every now and them the ankle pops loudly.

I have messed up my ankles and body pretty badly over the years. Can step off a curb and strain it. I can almost make my ankle pop now by stretching it out and rotating it. Both of them will pop pretty loud when I do that. Pretty lucky that It doesn't take that long to get back to where I can put weight on it. Heat & Ice works wonders.

They tape it up and give him the good drug.
That's a big boy to be jumping up and down.

If what we have heard is correct, recovery should take a few weeks but some people heal up a little faster than others.
