Surprised to see Baker-Mazara that high. I just thought he was an enforcer sent out there to physically assault the other teams best player or hottest shooter.

Huh? I’ve seen him make a lot of 3s

Every Auburn game I remember him from, which has admittedly been few and all last year, he seemed to lose his cool regularly and get t’d up for hard fouls/mouthing off.

I was surprised he was as high as #3, but he’s averaging 13/4/3 while shooting 52/37/93 and playing good defense
He also has the second highest BPM in the SEC behind Broome. Good stuff happens when he’s out there

Love to see both of these guys on that list. Butler is an absolute dog.

Would’ve loved to have seen him in Pope’s offense.

You’re surprised about a player you know absolutely nothing about?

He got ejected from the Yale game for a flagrant 2 foul for intentionally elbowing a Yale player. Maybe that is why I think of him that way.

He likes to get mixed up in drama and trash talk too much, but not in any kind of enforcer capacity. He’s a really good and versatile player that needs to chill on the drama a little
quote:Probably. It was inexcusable, but most forget that the Yale kid got away with a cheap shot on him and he got caught retaliating. It wasn’t just him going after a guy like a goon.

No problem. Last season Baker-Mazara averaged 10.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. So I am surprised to see he is listed at #3 this year. He must have really improved.
I am also surprised he is 24 years old. That seems old for a college basketball player.
What else can you tell me about him?

Off the bench. He’s starting this year with Jaylin having graduated. The timely shooting and intense defense has pretty much always been there.
Not an enforcer, but he definitely has a mouth on him and a bad tendency to be a shite stirrer lol.
He’s invaluable for us. In addition to his defense he’s the guy you turn to that will bust a slump and get everyone hyped quickly.
ETA: and he’s automatic from the stripe.

He doesn't try to win physically he tries to get in your head mentally. He's effective at it but also can let it go too far and cost himself and the team.

In most of Auburn's biggest games I've seen so far, Baker-Mazara may have been no better than 3rd in points, rebounds etc but also probably Pearl's Player of The Game in rewatching the film.

Surprised Otegwa Oweh wasn’t on that list. He is our most consistent player.
