At least I got to go do some last minute Christmas shopping because these dumbasses decided to make this a “deserving” playoff instead of 12 best teams. 31-3, I’m sure that’s what everyone was just waiting to watch. Again dumbasses!!!

Or, you know, we could have beaten even one of two mediocre SEC teams to get in.

I think people are too focused on Bama's highs. And they were good. This was a good season.

But you can't ignore the lows.

This was not a playoff worthy team.

There are not 12 teams better than Bama.

I don't get it at all.. What is deserving of getting the gift of an easy schedule.

It's also not going away..

the b10 schedulers are making a push to get 5 teams in next year. I nearly threw up when I saw all their schedules and just how every good team somehow avoids each other.

Funny how Miami SMU and Clemson never played each other. I am too nervous to look up the acc schedule for next year. Can only pray this format gets fixed before we let them do this again.

Well this is what America/media wanted…. What a joke

ETA- it would take PSU 3 plays to score against air and they are still blowing out SMU

There are 12 teams who beat their respective Vandys and OUs.

The Committee didn’t think so either since they had Bama at 11, but automatic qualifiers…

They also didn't beat any teams as good as UGA, SCAR. Mizzou or LSU

Vandy and OU are better than Penn State, SMU, and Indiana

The SEC was head and shoulders better than everyone else. We should've had 4-5 teams in

grevious, you can say that and you wouldn't be wrong if it was still the 4 team playoff.

I still think 12 teams is too much but lets not act like smu was worthy, they had their fair share of "lows" (to put it in your words) as well and they had absolutely 0 "highs"

What is so "worthy" of losing two games and playing nobody

Thing is they mostly played their Vandys and OUs. They didn’t have to play UGAs, UTs, or USC’s in between.

I'm sure the Vandy and OUs of the world are much easier to handle when you play Build A Bear University a week prior rather than Georgia or LSU in Death Valley.

Georgia had the toughest schedule in the conference and they were one corrupt call away from losing to Georgia Tech. I'd imagine most of those lower end non-SEC playoff teams would have 5 or 6 losses with Bama or UGA's schedules because, you know, you're far more likely to be physically beaten to hell and back each week, making it easier to drop a game to inferior opponents, opposed to sending your first and second string home by the end of the third quarter every Saturday.

There aren't 6 teams better than BAMA, and BAMA could beat any of those 5 that are "better".

Who is the one we can't beat?

I think we COULD beat anybody.

Or SMU could have won one of the two decent games they played all season...oh wait they lost both games.

Its a 12 team playoff, there is room for good teams that had bad losses but still won big games

OU had the toughest regular season schedule. OU had to play tenner, Ole Miss, Texas, barn, and BAMA just like uga. OU also had Mizzou, LSU, and South Carolina. Uga got UK, MissSt, and UF.

There are NOT 6 teams better than BAMA.
That means there are at most 5 teams better.
BAMA could beat any of the teams "better" than BAMA.

I agree with you.

I don’t think we would have gotten blown out like SMU, but I don’t think we win in that environment. They didn’t all year except for LSU and we jump on that bad defense and took the crowd out. The offense played terrible on the road with a lot of penalties and turnovers.

I love the atmosphere so far at the home stadiums, seems like a good time, will be awesome at Bryant Denny one day.

I stand corrected then.

They finished 13th in the SEC and won one more game than SMU or Indiana would have...
