The man had a 109 QB rating at FSU on 52% passing.
That would be worst in the SEC by a good 15 points and there were some horrible QB ratings in the SEC this year.

He was also a true freshman thrown into playing out of total necessity with an offense that was flat out awful. Hard to judge him by much more than "did he tough it out" and "is he mentally broken from it".
He had a better rating than Brock Glenn and a roughly equal rating to DJU. He also had to play against solid defenses in Duke, Miami, Notre Dame and Florida.

Kid will be groomed by Lebby for his offense for a few years if he sticks. Could be very good in 2 years.

I hear you and I agree that team flat out quit.
But Jackson Arnold was throwing passes to former mascots and walk ons and still finished 15-20 points higher.
I’d much rather have Dylan Lonergan than this guy.

Very surprised that Rosebowl hasn't announced this to the litter on 247

It’s a good perception win. Kid has talent but he has a long way to go to reach that potential. If he starts this year it means Shapen regressed

I think it's more telling about the state that FSU was in
You could throw any QB in the country on that team and they'd still be god awful

In 3 years he might have state at 6 wins! Huge pick up!

It's not that surprising, I don't think any other teams in the SEC have room for a QB with 4 years of his caliber.
It's just like QB recruiting there are only so many spots and Miss St still is an SEC team

What else do they have to talk about? The Gator Bowl?

Obviously made the decision to focus on getting a degree, isn't very smart, so he transfered to the school where QBs go to die

Curious how this works out.
Shapen supposedly the starter “regardless” of who was brought in.
Which means Luke is redshirting and still has three more years of eligibility.
Or he bears out Shapen and starts the next three years.
Which potentially leaves the super bestest most awesome prospect state has signed on the bench.
Y’all gonna let Taylor, Luke or both walk when they want more nil?

Nah, they'd have kept MVB for that price. I'm gonna guess this guy may be $500k total over 3 years

If you ever want to know how many rebels are on this board, just start a topic about state

Well shite man there’s like three of y’all.
When a topic is started we’ve got take our opportunity.

Your welcome. You brought all this on yourself when your beat writer started the downfall of Freeze which put the ball rolling for us to get Lane. You did this to yourself and it’s hilarious.
I love watching the train wreck that is Mississippi state football. Couldn’t happen to a better program.
You are the crab that has to pull the crabs back into the bucket every time we start to separate. Now it’s blown up in your face and you are behind for good. It’s hilarious.
