Brian Kelly has boosted the Bayou Traditions collective these last few weeks

Yeah. This is the donation time frame for most collectives. This is the time of year a lot of wealthy people are doing their year end tax planning and deciding what their donations are going to be. While donations to collectives are not tax deductible, they are going to be thinking of all of the checks they are going to be writing.

A third of all donations are made in december. You also have completely new NIL contracts being put into writing so the collectives know the cash they need. Hence, the letters go out and the solicitation campaigns go full throttle.


There is nothing special about having a bulk of your donations come in during the last few months of the year.

It’s amount of donations as in separate grass roots. Not total money.
