Selection Committee Prioritized all of CFB over Mega Conference Dominance

Moving to 16 teams in the SEC may have been a mistake. I’m actually glad they chose to honor regular season performance.
With that in mind outside of $$$$ having 16 teams does nothing but reduce the odds of SEC teams making the playoffs. We will usually get 3-4 teams in even if we have 8 of the top 12.

Sankey’s Greed on full display.

We need to end this CFP farce very soon. Secede from the NCAA and CFP and leave all these worthless conferences to die. The SEC champion is the national champion until the big ten bends the knee and joins us.

I’m not sure I agree. This only works if the Big 10 is in on it.
I for one love all of college football and look forward to these playoffs. While I am passionate that the SEC is far and away the most difficult conference, I am not picking an SEC team to win this year.

I beleive you may see sec feign its own league just to start a pissing contest.
CFP gives in and allows auto four and chance for 5.
Also think that sankey doesn’t want our teams playing in Columbus or Southbend or Utah in winter in the coming future.
He may want to play those big10 teams in Florida/texas/Atlanta/LA/Tempe.

The eyes on the sport won’t lie. While the SEC is huge for in Season Ratings, the playoffs will shatter Bowl Season Viewership.
The Playoffs as it stands benefits from teams across the country being involved. I personally like it.

I'm for the SEC leaving and being its own league. SEC champ is the national champ. However, I have no other football interests outside SEC football. Mississippi St vs. Kentucky is a bigger draw for me than Michigan vs Ohio State. Regional > national every time. This explains my support for the SEC league.

CFB is DEI influenced.
Stankey sold us out.

I think the committee and the format are pathetic.
Georgia, Texas, Oregon, and Tennessee all have a chance to run the table. There should still only be 4 in the playoffs. The rest of the teams are great frauds.
Bama could've run the table but they shite the bed too much.

This entire thing is a result of the DEI era and sort term thinking.
133 teams cannot be judged equally. It is an impossible task. By trying to do so you create an entirely unjust and unfair system.
This is especially true when your 2 BIGGEST variables are:
1. Winning your conference (not all are created equal) - this holds so much weight that you get a buy.
2. Number of losses (not all schedules are created equal.)
It appears we are dealing with either very low IQ people at the top, a woke-DEI culture taking over college football, a desire to destroy the sport, a focus on short term monetary gains, or all of the above.
But let the record show that the powerbrokers took a sport at its ABSOLUTE APEX and butchered it into a thousand pieces. College football was never more popular before they decided wholesale change was necessary.

Stopped reading... The playoff is only 12 people, the problem is the automatic byes. F Bama. The real travesty is the Bracket with Boise as a 3 and Arizona State as a 4 seed. No way there would have been in the playoff with 4 teams.
But seriously, if we are arguing between 12 and 13, you have yourself to blame.

It’s the first year. Sit back, relax and let it play out. Will be fun to have meaningful football for another month and a half.
If the “undeserving” get blown out, adjustments will be made. The “told you so’s” will be matched by those who don’t want to see a 40-point spread in a “playoff” game.
Now, if any of you lose to Boise State…

They actually could.
Four team pods, each producing a division champion, playing down from four to one.

I like the new format. It gives teams like Boise State a shot to prove themselves. No one knows how good those other schools are outside of those leagues. The transfer portal along with NIL as leveled the playing field.

You do realize there are now 16 teams in the SEC??? That’s obviously the move I was talking about.

Personally, I kind of like the 12 team set up so far. Let's see how it play out.

I like it. We also generate enough money via views that the SEC league will get top dollar from tv as it currently stands today. It can work.

Who butchered it? Esecpn. Sec. Big 10. Who are you blaming?
