What a shitty, boring, terrible matchup. I have zero feelings for Iowa. At least it’s a decent location for the players .

We typically play shite football against the Iwegians.

Completely boring matchup. Couldn’t care less.

But come to think of it, besides Nebraska who would be interesting and Nebraska is too far beneath us. Just ain't much left win you're 1 loss away from the playoff and in the SEC. Our most competitive matchup would be Ole Miss.

Wish we could have been in Vegas. Selfishly of course. Could drive over from LA in about 3 hours or hopped a Spirit flight for 5 dollars.

Would have been more fun to play USC.

Not an exciting match up but I'm probably going to go for the heck of it.

If anyone of you go, I'm buying drinks.

It's a great trip for the kids and fans. Going to Nashville might keep a few more from setting out. I'm good with it.

I hated that Insight bowl loss in 2010 with Blaine basically throwing that game away. In terms of match-up, hard to say tbh.

Hopefully our defensive coaches can figure out that Iowa WILL RUN THE BALL on offense and prepare accordingly this time.

That last bowl game against Iowa still raises the blood pressure. It was so stupid that we lost to them

Because I’m not bitching about a bowl game after a successful season?

I am surprised to see the line showing Missouri as a 3 points favorite over Iowa. I sure hope Drinkwitz and the players send a message that we are much better than Iowa and should have played a better team than Iowa. Nebraska only lost to Iowa by 3 points. That was the final game of the regular season. I am wondering what is up with that line showing only a 3 points favorite over Iowa, a lesser team.

Bowls are meaningless outside CFB. Anything can and does happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost. I wouldn’t be surprised if we won by 20.

Not true! Drinkwitz has to prove the naysayers wrong and to force them give him and Mizzou better support for next year.

Bowls are even less Jew ing fuel than they were in the 4 playoff era and finitely more after the death of the BCS. It’s glorified practice outside of the top 1-2 (and that’s pushing it) non CFP bowls.

So yea. Only location and opponent matter and Iowa is some vanilla arse shite.

As for the spread. We are down our best offensive playmaker in Burden and a team captain on D in Hicks plus rotational ends.

Not having Hicks is a good thing.

Does Iowa have key players sitting out too?

This means something to the program and its trajectory. Beating a Big 10 opponent means something.

Let’s not forget, we would have begged for 10 win seasons 3 years ago.
