1. Jalen declare for the draft and sit out the bowl game

2. Make our schedule next year as easy as possible. Remove P4 OOC games and replace them with FCS games.

Yep. No reason to even risk an OOC loss. Bring on UAB and FIU!

One is a given.

Did two that keep Alabama out this year? Or did losing to two 6-6 teams do it?

Losing to Vandy and OU did not help

DeBoer is on a major hot seat. He let locker room politics sway him into keeping Milroe as the starter and other players having disciplinary issues.

OOC isn’t what cost us but it’s clear that at the end of the day, it’s all about the number of losses. Minimize that risk by not having a hard OOC schedule.

Byrne has scheduled not one, but two major OOC opponents for the foreseeable future. Idiotic move in this new landscape.

Or did having to play 4 teams with a bye week off before Alabama do it?

Alabama also had a bye before two of those games and Alabama played UT Chattanooga the week before OU.

So, yeah.

So what? Do you think Oklahoma would have won without that bye week? I don't.

And Alabama didn't play UT Chattanooga. But then you were probably busy watching your team play that weekend.

But we didn't lose to a hard team... You can get much easier that OU this year.

I know our two bad losses came from in conference. Changing the OOC games ensures our players do not get injured, they can stay rested and if strategically placed can essentially be a bye week before a big opponent.

Being left out had everything to do with shitting the bed vs Vandy and OU.

Hopefully those returning for the 2025 season will clearly understand the importance of being prepared.

God, I hope and pray Milroe sits out the bowl game. It’s time to rip the band aid off even it also rips all or part of the scab too. Starting Simpson would be invaluable experience.

And if any other players have problem with a new QB, they should be shown the door. Same thing with guys who aren’t willing to give the bowl game 100% effort.

I’d rather play a bunch of true freshmen and RS freshmen and even walk ons who want to be there than some entitled players who half heartedly try.

So I take it that you had no idea that the SEC sets our conference schedule.
