Alabama lost to two 6-6 teams. SMU has better losses.

They have claimed they care about quality wins first. And then conference championship is a plus when teams are otherwise alike. It's hard to claim SMU's wins and Bama's wins are similar.

What is SMU’s best win? Honest question as I don’t know.

They beat Duke on a failed 2 pt conversion in OT and they slapped the shite out of LVille by 7. I am now more concerned.

You thought the melt last year was bad…we deserved to get in last year and the melt was all time. We don’t deserve it this year….the melt will be Nuclear.

We deserve it more than SMU...or Indiana for that matter.

We have a better resume than SMU but it doesn’t matter. This is over. The narrative has taken hold that SMU deserves to be in for their moral victory against a 9-3 Clemson team. That narrative will be too much to overcome in the committee room. We’re out.

Tbf this time last year there was a popular narrative that you can't leave out an undefeated P5 champ. FSU was also decent betting favorites to make the playoff but the committee went in a different direction.

That being said, this was the worst case scenario and I'm no longer expecting Bama to be in. I wouldn't say the chance is 0% though
