Expect them to get every call

Broome, who never fouls, will probably have 2 on him by the under 12

FIFY

I also expect CBM and Dylan to have at least 3 by the under 12.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen. I’ve seen so many Duke games where it’s not uncommon for them to be in the bonus with 13 minutes left in the first half. I’ve told others that I wouldn’t be surprised if Cardwell, Chaney, CBM and Broome all have 2 fouls within the first 10 minutes of the game. Also, if it starts to get close, Duke will get all of the calls. There’s a reason they have only lost like 4 games there in the past 7 years or something like that. Yes, they have good teams and a tough environment, but it’s a lot to do with the biased reffing. Think playing at UAT but on steroids.

Yep. Duke at home, plus refs general dislike of AU/Pearl's aggressive defensive style tells you all you need to know about the foul ratio.

Makes TOs, offensive efficiency and second chances extremely important.

This is a game where that starting lineup of Broome and Cardwell may hurt us. They're going to get every call.

Cooper Flagg is talented but he’s young and relatively weak, especially compared to our front court. The refs know that and they will not let us breathe on him without it being a foul tonight.

I am so excited about this basketball game, I am not paying as much attention to football recruiting news.

Good job Bruce.

Time to bump this thread up. Don’t care about football. Big game tonight and could really change the trajectory of this program, not for just this year, but years to come, if we win tonight.

I won't argue a win would be great tonight but I'm gonna go out a limb here and say the trajectory of this program has already been changed for a while now...Thank you Bruce Pearl.

That’s not what I meant. Yes, no doubt that Pearl has changed the perception of our program since he’s been here. What I’m saying is beating Duke at Duke would be a program changer for not just this year, but years to come.

Auburn grad (1995) and fan since 1982.

Duke basketball fan since 1986.

I have been looking forward to this for a while.

Duke is very talented, but starts 3 FR, 1 Soph and 1 JR. They do bring some older kids off the bench. I think they out talent us big time, but our age will help...I hope.

We have never beaten Duke. 0-4. I hope we get this one. I have several friends and family that will be at the game.
