Only one out of Boise/UNLV is getting in. The interesting thing would be a Clemson win, does SMU get in as well ?

Close Clemson win and yes I believe so.

UNLV/Boise is an elimination game.

If it’s close. I think if Clemson wins handily then SMU could get bumped

They aren’t moving bama out

They literally left out an undefeated p5 champ to put bama in last year

Yes.

I don't think they want to set a precedent of hurting a team that loses the conference championship.

As long as SMU doesn't embarrass themselves I think they'll stay in front.

while I agree, doesn't makle sense to penalize a team harshly for losing a championship game that some teams don't have to play.

Agree, but when your schedule is what Boise's is and it's only your 3rd game against a team in the Top 50 I think you somewhat get loss of that leash.

And it's a home game.

It will be close but I think they played their cards on this tonight.

They set it up to let 1 ACC team in with these rankings.

4 B1G
4 SEC
1 ACC
1 B12
1 G5
Notre Dame

Their cards are on the table.

I’d laugh if the top 4 botch their games and it makes this even worse. OM could potentially still be alive.

SMU is out if they lose. Their best win isn’t a non ranked team.

Same reason Miami is below Bama right now.

sure, so why isn't Alabama above them now if what you said is important?

Wow teams out are out. That’s dumb if someone gets blown out.

No idea how the CFP will assess teams that lose conference championship games, but if they punish SMU that way, conference championship games aren't long for this world.

What happens if UGA gets beat 37-3 and SMU loses in OT? I realize UGA is ranked higher, but punishing championship game losers is a slippery slope.
