Alabama should not be in the conversation when talking about the CFP. They are not playing in the SEC championship game and any team with 3 losses should not be considered.

Is it though? The only way they don’t make it is if they go 500. It’s like lsu hosting a regional when they were given out based on bids. Automatic!

When we lose, we don’t get to write the history books.

Simple as that.

I don’t think you can make that a hard and fast rule as there may be certain years where it is possible. But there shouldn’t be this year and especially not a team that got destroyed by a mediocre OU team down the stretch after already losing to Vandy.

Talking about Alabama on the TigerRant is an odd place to melt.

Guarantee if LSU had three losses you’d be advocating.

It’s a ratings game at the end of the day, not shocking in my eyes. That OU game they had became invisible suddenly

Alabama had never NOT been in the conversation. So it’s not unbelievable. We all knew the CFP would be ten teams plus Alabama and Notre Dame.

OU kicked that Bama arse then the next week LSU kicked OU in the arse.

Nothing to see here obviously right?

This is late season and should have more affect on voting than it did is all I am saying.

I don't agree with this....not talking about Alabama

I think SC should be in the playoffs if anyone. I think OM is possible the best team in SEC but that is with their WR and RB, which neither has been playing of late.

SC has reeled off 6 straight wins, and just closed with a win over Clemson on the road. They should have, or could have, beaten LSU and Alabama....and had one bad game with turnovers, early in the year, against OM.

Who would you rather put in? A team like Miami that played absolutely no one in the top 25, but has 2 losses, and honestly, the refs gave them a win in another game. Indiana? They only played one good team, and got steam rolled. It appears that it pays to play no one during the season, if you follow that thought process of no 3 loss teams.

I'm not shocked at all. I've said from the start this 12 team format would allow Tier 1 programs to lose 3 games a year and still be in.

Here we are.

Get used to it.

But... they're rated #11 in the latest CFP poll. It seems like everyone across the fruited plane is now a Bama believer, following their impressive Iron Bowl showing.
