Never been done before except for the very first year the conference was in existence.
Worthy first year, imo.

As a conference we should be embarrassed. I hope Georgia beats Texas like they stole something.

And all LSU had to do was not lose to Florida and we’d be playing them next weekend. What a crazy season.

Didnt Missouri make it to Atlanta their first 2 years in the SEC?

Why? They made the playoff last year and have an absolutely stacked team full of veterans.
Should the Big-10 be embarrassed about Oregon?

I believe you are correct. Which is also a pretty nice achievement.

And they did it by beating exactly one ranked team.
I'll bet that's never been done before either.

The SECCG wasn't around the first year the conference was in existence.

Watched every OU snap this year. They impressed me the most. Solid both sides of the ball.

2nd and 3rd years, IIRC. 2012 was their first year in the conference.

Well you know that's a good point.

fricking Vandy, Lsu, Auburn, TN could've made it with that shite arse schedule. But they played the hand they bought and only lost to the top 10 team they played

I'll guess we'll see if Defense still wins championships. But Texas defense will have to beat both Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers.

Nobody ever cared who made it from the East.

The game has changed, programs who once stacked talent on top of talent (yes, LSU was one) can no longer do that in the age of the portal/NIL. Oh, and you're missing the fact Sark has spent the past 3 years recruiting and building a team to compete in the SEC. Put our players in any other SEC teams uniforms and you wouldn't go "hmm, this seems like a Big12 team".

Not tipping my hat just yet. They were incredibly "lucky" with scheduling. I think Georgia is going to spank them again in Atlanta.

If Texas was given OU’s conference schedule and OU, Texas’ conference schedule, does Texas still make the SEC Championship game???
