Motivator than coach come Saturday. This teams morale is standing on 1 leg at the edge of a cliff!
I had envisioned a change at qb, but after hearing coach basically praise Milroes performance Saturday, I'm not so sure! How do you praise that performance..how do you not bring up that cowardly tackle attempt?

Lord help him if he starts Milroe and Milroe has another performance like last Saturday and Deboer rides with Milroe the entire game!

The crowd is going to boo very loudly the first time Milmisthrow makes his first bad decision and it costs us. There will be a lot of pressure on DeBoer to make a change at QB if #4 fricks up again or loafs on a play.

I can tell some have never been a coach before . You can’t just throw specific players under the bus to the national media . It is a team game so you have to blame everyone , starting with yourself . Some players can take an arse chewing and some will go into a shell. We don’t know what KDB says privately to individuals . Did you want him to say “ Our QB pretty much cost us the game and did you see that attempt at a tackle? My mother could do better”?

ETA- should have pulled him though , at least for a series or two

“He’s got to find a way to get him out,” DeBoer said. “He’s a good enough athlete to where either using the sideline or forcing a cutback. It’s not something you spend a lot of time practicing. It’s not his position he’s in. He’s got to find a way to get him out of bounds. I trust Jalen to do a lot of things and I trust that he can get him down. Find a way. Find a way to get the defense out there, find some way possible. Hold them to a field goal.”

Hard to fathom how a west coast guy can have any idea of what the iron bowl means down south. I’m sure he knows, but I don’t think he really “knows”. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I’ve seen nothing to show he is a motivating type coach.

Bama would owe Kalen over 60 million if they asked for his keys.

His Salary is 90% guaranteed. What the fuk Byrne,

Call me a fool, but IMO insane buyouts for coaches are more destructive to the sport than the portal and NIL.

You assume any new coach would get 3 years to get it done. If we fired him then you still owe 90% of the remain 4 years at 11 million each or approximately 40 million.

He certainly hasn’t done a good enough job this year to justify a $10 million a year salary. No coach at Alabama making that type of money loses to fricking Vanderbilt and gets their pants pulled down on national television against an undermanned Oklahoma team with no forward passing game.

G-Mac and Cole stated this morning something I've noticed in games. The attitude of the players and the sideline.

I'm not blaming anyone - hell it may be NIL and the new normal for all I know, just a difference which I'm glad wasn't just my perception.

The sideline just doesn't look like it used to. When the ball starts bouncing in an opponent's' favor, it's almost 'self-pity' as G-Mac observed. Only in the Georgia game, was I surprised by the comeback. South Carolina wasn't going to surprise me, if they won, in the end. The program seems like it's beaten itself. Whatever it is, seems like it has made them become just like every other program... not the juggernaut I've loved of the past.

I would give anything to have Cochran back. The demise of the dynasty started when he left.

No sane person would "ask for the keys" of someone that beat 4 top 25 teams in his first year at the program

He couldn’t motivate his team to show up with the SEC championship and playoffs on the line. I think his inability to motivate these players has been made pretty clear.

Luckily, there are folks who consider the strategic direction things are moving, and have knowledge of the “little things” that most people don’t see.

Ballou doesn’t do anything on the sideline to fire anyone up. I don’t think our S&C program is as good as it was under Cochran, either.
