I go back and forth but when I take emotion out of it, LSU hired BK as the most reliable option to stabilize the program after it faltered under O. LSU fans who think anything short of a national title is failure are retards, and don’t realize only one coach wins each year.

It’s better to have a high floor than make up a subjective ceiling. Saying “BK will never win a natty” isn’t a reason to fire him, especially when some want coaches like Kiffin, who is a fraud with a piss poor P5 record.

This season, BK’s issues partly stem from Nussmeier’s inconsistency and the need to keep Sloan, who would have left without a promotion. Even if LSU had only two losses now, and one of those were to Vandy, they’d be screaming to fire him just as much as that is about as fireable of an offense as there is. Especially if LSU had the #1 talent composite (against Vandy’s #50).

So there’s that.

You don’t need to worry about hypothetical losses. You have plenty of actual ones; four so far and three in a row; to worry about.
