Sorry everyone but the results speak for themselves.
And im saying this simply from a pure advantage standpoint, rather than a Gameday experience standpoint.
We only get 1-2 night games per year, so when we do actually get one for a big game, it’s a big fricking deal for the fanbase.
Dawgs have won 30 straight night games at Sanford Stadium, dating back to 2009. That goes way back into the Richt era, with many of those games being ones that were supposed to be close or we were favored to lose
That streak will be tested next year when we play Bama, Texas, and Ole Miss all at home next year instead of on the road, but 30 in a row is already insane.

Meh - UGA is good at home because they have been better than LSU with better coaching and talent the last few years.

What do Death Valley at night and Sanford Stadium at night have in common?
Alabama delivered beat downs the last time they played at night in each of those stadiums.

Bama also lost to Vandy while ranked #1.
Talk about a Jeykll and Hyde complex of a program.

The only one keeping that Death Valley at night narrative going is the media…. Really not bad at all

Too bad for y'all Hyde always shows up when it's time to face Bama.

The first half of the game last night I saw so many UGA fans complaining about the atmosphere being lackluster and expressing annoyance for how the UT band was playing so much and so loud and seeming was affecting the UGA players. Lmao

Once again, you can’t argue with results

It’s called Kirby Smart being the best in the game

Alabama is the only team consistently that beats LSU at home. It’s no secret. Alabama is truly the class of the SEC for years now. But they are the exception to the rule. As bad as it hurts it is what it is.

Bama beat by crowd noise alone in 2022 in the real Death Valley

Kirby Smart has never coached UGA against Bama in Athens. They've played Bama 7 times with Smart as the head coach.
That last win against UGA for Bama? Smart was on the Bama sideline.
All that being said... UGA has a pretty normal home field advantage. I don't think it's great. But UGA has been great under Smart so it's worked out that way.

You’re wrong. I did a full analysis on this last year. We have the highest increase in scoring margin vs Top 25 teams at home vs road/neutral since 2017

I tend to think that's more due to Smart going conservative to run out clock earlier on the road than when UGA plays at home. I don't think it's because it's difficult to play.
If it were, we'd have seen that impact before Smart there. We didn't.
That's because it's about the coach, not the location.
Hell, it could also be because We haven't played Bama at home at all despite facing them often since 2017. UGA's toughest opponent was always away from Athens, which might make Athens look better stat wise.
