Well the President and other people with actual power can tell them to go frick themselves.
It’s one of the things our new Chancellor has done with our ASB. He just basically says “that’s cute. No” anytime they vote on stupid shite like “remove this offensive statue”.
Which is nice because our old Chancellor would act like it was something he had no choice but to follow.

When I was at Ole Miss, it seems like the people the administration wanted in the ASB got in regardless if any of the students voted for them or not. Then they would push through some B.S. and say, "see, all of the students want this..."

I’d slam LSU, but universally student governments are the largest collection of losers on any campus.

There are other team posters that bitch about us getting rid of those traditions but they will also celebrate their coaches negative recruiting us because of those things.

Man, this.
Damn near every other team in the SEC had "Dixie" somewhere or another in their repertoire. Florida's fight song originally quoted the first few lines before moving off into the part you hear today for example.
So most of the rest of the SEC gets rid of stuff like that, but we're supposed to keep propping it up because member berries. frick that.
I couldn't really care less either way about what LSU does with its Tiger. Didn't go there. Never worked there. Don't give money to them. It's their business, I reckon.

Saw one write-up that said the guy that brought the tiger up had a tiger escape two times in the past.
