Why doesn't Missouri feel like an SEC team?

Angry liberal professor, Michael Sam, Sideline views for football games on TV, terrible baseball stadium, manufactured rivalry with Arkansas with a trophy that looks like a shopping cart, the list goes on and on.

In reality, it is probably because MU has more Atlanta appearances than most of the SEC. Therefore, we dont really fit in.

Because they are vanilla. They're bland. There's nothing about their culture or brand, if you can even call it that, which distinguishes them. You can name at least one thing for every other SEC team that stands out. What does Mizzou have? Rocks in the end zone? They don't win championships. Their residents speak with a listless, mid-western accent. They don't belong.
