Alabama’s offensive line pushed around an LSU defensive line coached by Bo Davis.

Many of us have wished for Bo to come back to Bama for years (and I would still take him back) but his unit was dominated by the Bama offensive line. Crazy stuff.

Ole Myth and some others have bought up all the DL.

Bo Davis would come back to Tuscaloosa in a heartbeat if offered.

No is coaching probably the least talented DL he’s ever had. If you want proof how good he is Saban wanted him back at Bama and look what he did to Texas Dl. That dude would be an absolute treasure to have at Bama.

This is one of the weakest defensive fronts you’ll ever see at LSU. I don’t blame the coach. The talent level on their defensive front is not up to their normal standards. You could say the same thing for the rest of the defense too

Would love that to be true and our staff to bring him in. He can recruit and he can coach.

The 2 most talented defensive lines in CFB history were 2015 and 2016 Bama, imo. Look at how many NFL starters were on those 2 teams. Bo was heavily involved with those lines, even though he wasn't here for 2016.
I think Karl Dunbar was better at teaching the position, but Bo was the better talent evaluator, recruiter, and was still a good coach.

He was a great motivational coach. His DLs were mean AF.
Allen, Tomlinson, Payne etc. Those guys would play on concrete
My favorite Bama quote of all time was made by Jon Allen:
Reporter asked, "how do you feel about playing in Death Valley?" To which Allen responded, "we'll play them in the parking lot."

Don’t think our current DL coach is going anywhere. Holdover from Saban’s staff and ace recruiter.

Didnt LSU basically have a bunch of 3 and 2 stars on the d line this year

I would not even say that those were the best ever at Bama. Copeland and Curry would argue that, and Shannon Brown wasn’t chopped liver. There have been lots of dominant unit. The Canes DL with Russell Maryland and Cortez Kennedy comes to mind quickly.

no one else has had dlines with that many longterm above average NFL starters. Allen, Robinson, Reed, Tomlinson, and Payne have all arguably been the best DTs on their respective teams this year, 7-9 years into their careers. Hand is still a (part time)starter. They all played on that 2015 team.
2016, you take out Robinson and Reed, but add in Raekwon Davis and Quinnen Williams. Q, when motivated, is the best pass rushing DT in the league. 2016 is probably better tbh. Allen, Payne, Tomlinson and Q are 4 of the top 10 salaries for DTs in the NFL.
Yeah, Copeland and Curry were great college players, but they didn't do shite in the NFL. None of the Canes' DLs ran 5 or 6 deep with high end NFL starters either.

With nil and the portal, you'll never see teams stacked 2 deep like you did 10 years ago.

LSU in 2011 was two deep on the DL and all were great college players.
Les just had no inovation on his offense...plus a very average to poor QB, but still beat almost every team they played by 30-40 points.
