Field storming is integral to college football. I'm too lazy but can someone start a petition?

BTW, I hate Old Miss. But c'mon.

There’s going to be a terrible situation in a stadium that’s not well-designed for field storming where people are crushed or trampled one day. I hate the field storming because it’s just asking for disaster at some point.

It’s happened for decades. Has anything to that magnitude occurred?

We will make more money off of this than the fines will take away. But you're right, the fines haven't stopped anything and are pointless.

It’s integral to college football, but it happens way too often nowadays IMO. It should be reserved for when a crappy team upsets a #1 team. Now you have like 2 field stormings per week. Ranked teams that are like 2 point dogs are storming the field.

It will eventually. And now that everyone wants in on the “field storming experience”, crowds are doing it for every other ranked win it seems. So the timeline is pushed up for when something bad is going to happen.

I don’t think you know what integral means.

U of Minn kid died in 2005. I’m sure there have been other incidents, but maybe not to the magnitude Hurricane mentioned.

Student died of head trauma from falling goal post

I agree. Alabama and Florida are the only teams that have never stormed the field. Recently, I'll say that the Gators don't have a reason but over the years the opportunities were there.

LSU stormed the field vs Ole Miss and stormed the parking lot vs Alabama.

Brother, it’s Ole Miss. We literally haven’t been there before in my lifetime. Let us have some fun.

People have been doing it for years.

Fortunately in the States, no one that I know of has gotten seriously injured from it though the host university could be liable if it happens.

It does damage the field.

I would not be surprised this affects the host university's insurance.
