I can remember when A&M joined the league and it didn't matter how good or bad either team was, LSU would just make our team quit by the end of the game. There would be a hangover weeks after too.

Now they run for 24 yards on 23 carries, their defense gets blown off the line against the run. It's just wild how soft they are.

Don't get me wrong, there is a ton of talent on that team, it's just all mirror guys.

Welcome to the helicopter parent toxic masculinity covid nil generation of athlete . These soft kids, the crazy amount of money, and the new rules that don’t allow anybody to get hit anymore is probably the beginning of the end of this sport.

If by physical team you mean a defense? Then yes.

Or an OL that can push the DL off the line of scrimmage and create run lanes for the RB.

Um, yes

Soft defense, unbalanced offense, poor 2nd half adjustments.

It’s getting old.

Yes. I've about had it with fat Brian and his finesse football.

In the 21st century, you should have a QB that can pass and run, while also being able to run the football with a running back. This is especially true at LSU. To still have roster holes and be tissue-paper soft in year 3 is inexcusable, but it's what happens when a coach gets a 10-year contract and knows he can't be fired. He punts on recruiting for 2 years and doesn't give a shite.

Defense was holding their own until the zone read with Marcel Reed. But yes I hate running from shotgun every down. Should only be situational

Yeah LSU always struck me as an extremely physical, punch you in the mouth type team. They don't seem to have that same edge under BK.

They are small, slow, and weak on defense. Need a whole crew with the mentality and physicality like that of a LeRon Landry.

Yeah but we all bitched when we had a physical team under miles. They were always physical but could not complete a forward pass. Now we have had two heisman quarterbacks in five years but now we are not physical at all.

It stings a little less after remembering the nattys and conference championships we've racked up. We realize things will improve and we will win again.

In his postgame speech to the team Elko told them LSU just didn't want any more of what was coming at them in the 4th quarter.

Local sports guy today said something about running the table. I texted him and said "You can't run the table if you can't run the ball".

You asked the right group of fans about what makes a team quit. LSU quit 2020 because they won the NC in '19 and there was no reason to play the game any longer; they had nothing to prove.

Maybe that is why they are so soft currently, they have nothing to prove to anyone.

Fully convinced our scheme with a non mobile QB is pretty bad.

You absolutely have to disguise the play calling for it to be effective.
Been pretty vanilla

Meh, I personally would like another shot at A&M. Good team but they didn't really scare me.

Especially if it's at a neutral site.
