As an LSU fan living in Alabama, I haven't seen Alabama fans completely lose it very often, in large part, because they had the best coach of all time walking their sideline. All the talk was DeBoer was going to come in and just continue the dynasty, but that outlook has changed quickly and the WRs doing jump shots has sent most over the top.

To add fuel to the fire, the OC acknowledging everything they do in the game has been practiced during the week was not the answer the fans wanted to hear. To say Alabama fans are pissed would be a massive understatement.

As my buddy said, we've gone from competing for NCs to a circus sideshow on the side of the interstate! It will be interesting to see how all this unfolds, but DeBoer has clearly lost the support of most of the fans and we've barely reached the halfway point of the season!

I too live in Alabama, outside Tuscaloosa. I have not heard one Alabama fan talk about that play. I have just read about it on the internet.

If that play had resulted in a touchdown, people would be laughing about the creativity.

People just look for shite to rage on because they are emotionally attached to something they have no control over leading to excessive amounts of frustration.

I think the OC was trolling.

That said, I hope to not see it anymore because it's a symptom of a larger issue. Just like all that trash talking and shite after the play. You're busy talking trash, they are busy looking to whoop your arse on the next play. Shut up and get moving.

The jump shots worked on the refs, that is for sure. Because Milroe didn't make that 4th down. They never showed the replay from the Alabama bench and never reviewed it.

That's some Auburn whirly bird shite right there.

Not a fan either but if we win, nobody gives a shite about it.

As a Bama fan, we have a few things to complain about this season. WR’s doing fake jump shots during a QB sneak ain’t one of them. I’m not the least bit embarrassed by it, but it’s very embarrassing that some of our fellow Bama fans are complaining about it. But every fanbase has their fair share of idiots

Not to mention the two WRs in question have accounted for the lion’s share of our receiving yardage in 2024.

I agree with you, but it didn't work and that's why a lot of Alabama are so upset about it! The reality is your team, ranked No. 1 at the time, got humiliated and embarrassed by Vandy and then lost again to UT and to hear your OC say the actually practice that play is embarrassing.

Maybe if the OC had the players running real plays and not screwing around doing jump shots, your team might have beaten both Vandy and UT, and not become the laughing stock of the SEC! The reality is DeBoer inherited the most talented roster in the history of college football and halfway through his first season, Alabama sits with two losses and may be the most undisciplined and unfocused team in the country.

Maybe a few less ice cream truck visits, less booming rap music during practice and less Tik Tok videos in the locker room might help the team get more focused!

You sound more upset about it than actual Bama folks.

Did you use a pen or a pencil to put down a W beside the Alabama game? I am guessing a pen. It seems like most LSU fans feel it is a foregone conclusion that LSU will beat Alabama.

Bigger issue is from a story earlier this week.

quote:

Just really take pride in the small things,” Dippre said. “Don’t get bored with the basics and coming to practice every day, working your butt off every day and just doing the small things right. We have TNT signs – ‘Takes no talent.’ If you make a mistake on a play, you get a flag, it takes no talent. Run to the sign, touch the sign. We’ve gotta get back into that and just accepting ownership and stuff.

quote:

Get back to what we’re supposed to wear – shirts tucked in, five minutes, 10 minutes early to meetings. Not all this late stuff,” Dippre said. “Not doing what you want to do.

Not this fan. I have seen LSU snatch defeat from the jaws of victory too many times against Bama in TS.

I fully expect Bama to give us their best shot. I expect a very tough game, just like this Saturday night with the Aggies

By the time LSU plays Alabama I pray and hope that the Alabama players havent learned how to tuck in their shirts, be on time for meetings, not shoot jumpshots on the field, not get 15 yard penalties on 4th and 7 with the game on the line, not kick the ball when its spotted by the refs, and not refuse to come out of the game when the coaches tell you to.

Because if they just clean up those one or two little things this alabama team could win it all!

If Alabama is winning its viewed as smart.
If Alabama is losing its viewed as retarded.
Its suppose to confuse the defender but its looks really dumb when it doesn't work.

All I can think about with these quotes is all the stories of Nick Saban restarting practice if he didn't think players were taking it seriously. How is DeBour allowing them not to even do the basics?

This was predictable. The most entitled, douchey fan base (despite not having won a championship since 2017) gets 2 losses and their lives are over.

It was a long time coming. That’s the chance you take when you pay top dollar for a big name and an impressive, but short resume. You don’t really have enough info about the coach. Just that he had a good stint in a really shitty conference.

Now they’re stuck with him because those goat frickers don’t have A&M money to pay an $80 million buyout.

They have no appeal if they don’t have the GOAT as coach. They won’t have a monopoly on players. They won’t have the most talented team anymore. Hell, even if they did… (like this year) they’re still going to suck.
