What's the point of threads like this on tRant shitting on our own players? What's your goal?

If he gets 3 interceptions he should probably hang up his football career. He will likely have one though as he’s just not a good qb.

You think I would brag about losing to my own fanbase?

I didn't even take the over

As a Texas fan, I'm hoping over.. but 2.5 is a lot, so I'll say under.

You have a great coach, you have more talent, you are probably deeper, but something hasn't been right in Athens this year. The defense has been getting worse every year for 4 years, and the offense is the worst it has been in 4 years.. (according to Points Per Drive stats)

We shall see if that changes this weekend.

Good luck and safe travels to anyone making the trip.

Georgia has definitely played a hard schedule, so perhaps that is the reason for the decline so far..

Portal and NIL

It’s hard to appreciate the defensive talent on that 2021 team.

Georgia historically gets better this time of year. We shall see.

Is that where the QB throws a pick and then the other team fumbles the ball back? I agree.. there's a great chance of that happening.

We had three defensive backs drafted last year and all are starting in the NFL. So far we have not been able to replace them.

That along with Dline injuries has been our downfall on defense. The O has just not been consistent.

This provides some interesting insight.
Here's what's obvious based on comparison with our current team and previous championship teams:
1. Those teams had better players on offense and defense.
2. He had a better OC on those teams.
3. We had Muschamp helping on defense on those teams and our defense was better against the run and pass and got pressure on opposing QBs.
4. We had a dual-threat QB on both championship teams who could get tough yards when we needed them because opposing defenses were forced to defend against the run and pass simultaneously.
5. We had a true nose tackle who occupied 2 OL and still made plays.

Bottom line: We have a good team but not a championship level team.
Our current team will likely lose to Texas and maybe one more.
And even though Georgia has won 2 out of the last 3 NCs, I don't expect a 3 loss team to get into even a 12 team playoff.

I don't think this guy is a true Dawg fan. Or at least, he don't fit description of one.

That's fair, although I do believe that Georgia could beat Texas. No one really knows how Georgia will show up as the dog. That will certainly get their attention this week.

I do agree that a 3 loss team won't be making the playoff.. unless they are an SEC or B1G team with the 3rd loss in the CG. Even then, it wouldn't be guaranteed imo.

I think some 2 loss SEC or B1G teams might be left out as well.

If he has to throw 48 times he’s going to get picked. If Georgia can run the ball, stay balanced, and passing attempts are in the 35 range, he has a good chance to play clean football and win the game.
