What Is Going On In CFB?

Can someone explain why every single game seems close, and it seems like every P4 team could potentially beat any other P4 team?
People say parity is a good thing, but how did it happen so suddenly? This is a really strange year for cfb...

NFL lite means talent spread out more evenly

Well, not EVERY game seems close… Right OU?

The professionalization of college football. College is becoming much more like the NFL.

People are saying it’s parity and NIL and portal but doesn’t explain why no one is playing actually good fundamental football.
The quality of play this year is dog shite. Awful tackling, awful offensive line play, awful execution in general. It’s been exciting don’t get me wrong, but from top to bottom the quality of play has been painful by every team this season.

Uga will beat Texas and the parity circus will continue

Nil done this
Now teams like Bama and Ga can’t keep rosters full of 5 stars

NIL money and the portal have shifted the incentives - players go where they get paid and you don't have as much focus on winning. This lowers the play of top talent and degrades the effects of coaching, which compresses the teams, IMO.

Uhhhh… we still have stacked 5 stars. Teams are just getting better overall. Swapping players here and there.

Money spread the talent out.
It’s just college basketball.
You better be loaded with superstars or be loaded with senior led talent.

I think NIL era makes fundamentals, discipline, and accountability hard to foster in a major program environment

It’s an offensive game, defense is now handicap. I don’t like the new game as of the changes years ago. Target penalties need to be a Sunday review, let the players play

I guess so. The quality of play is just abysmal in my opinion. Again, it’s been entertaining but overall no teams look very good top to bottom. Terrible execution. God awful tackling. People are clapping their hands at closer games but the overall quality of play is painful to watch imo
