I'm sending a message this week to every single highly recruited player on our team.

How to do that.

Make Nico review his performance on tape to the entire team and jot down EVERY single wide open rushing lane that was open and he ignored and threw some shitty arse late pass instead.

Now then bring put the entire team to Haslam field to stand around a large circle and make Nico do 20 suicide runs for each wide open lane he didn't run through. Then when he's on the verse of puking his guts out, put him a circle abd make him do the Oklahoma drill with all the toughest guys on the team.

What if he gets injured you say or feels humiliated?

TO frickING BAD!!!

We need to send a message to the entire team that everyone no matter how many starrs they have or how much nil you make, you will be treated no different than a walk on if you aren't willing to risk it all to win every single play.

This goes for every starting player BTW not just Nico. But first it starts with Nico to send a message.

Heupel needs to grow some balls and stop this buddy nonsense with the players.

Doubt it but he definitely needs to take a break before this breaks him.

No one can do all of this and still eat as many cheeseburgers as Heupel needs.

I was with you till the Oklahoma drill, at the very least make him sing the “I’m sorry” song for every time he passed up a running lane.

Good defense beats good offense. The better team won. Deal with it.

Yes, humiliate and piss off your starting QB. Brilliant move.

What's wrong with this? I want a team of warriors.

Do you know that the best professional boxers and MMA spar and train so hard up until the point to where the actual fight night comes they are relieved because that's the easy part to them.

Completely different sports but let's be honest, most of these star D1 players are spoiled, coddled divas.

Nico clearly is SCARED of getting hurt.

WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE DOES THAT SEND TO THE TEAM????

Not a good one right?

Do you watch former Vol Juan Jennings in the NFL?

He's not the most talented guy out there but he plays with a huge chip on his shoulder every play and did so for the vols as well.

That's a gift that he naturally possessed. Imagine if you can field a roster of all starting players with a mindset like a guy like Jennings. Wanting to wage war every single play.

The only way to instill this to guys who don't have it is to forge it into them through brutal practice sessions....... including full contact wars during practice.

All of this scared of injuring your starters is the problem.

I'd rather watch a walk on fight for his life out there than a 5 star who is playing to protect himself.

You are damn right. If he doesn't like it he kick rocks

Do you see even you as a fan are trying to give Nico special treatment. This is exactly our freaking problem.

On a REAL team no one is better then anyone else no one has special rules.

If you are playing not to get hurt or scared then you can sit on the bench. Simple as that.

Imagine a head coach having your mentality.... scared of offending your star players.

That's why Nick Saban was the GOAT. He was the same hard arse to everyone on his teams and wasn't scared of hurting anyone's feelings. Jut demand 1110 percent effort and excellence every single snap regardless of the score.
