Under Saban we were usually solid albeit sluggish in “hangover” games following a big game. Fortunately the stadium will be mostly Alabama fans despite being in the road.

My biggest concern is they have a QB good at making loose plays and running the football. If the offense is choppy, the defense better be on it.

No.

No. seriously, the SEC is full of trap games, but Vanderbilt is god awful 9/10 times and 10/10 times they have no home field advantage.

Just no.

I like how Deboer and Sheridan has talk up Clark Lea. DeBoer said he got familiar with him when Clark spent time in South Dakota

Yes I’m afraid of a let down. You know Nama was amped for Georgia. Hope they have paid attention to a team that took a top ten Missouri to OT, beat VT. This is not your daddy’s Vanderbilt. They play hard.

ETA. No I don’t think Vanderbilt will win but I am concerned Alabama plays ugly and does not capitalize on all of the forward progress they made last two weeks.

Yeah, I am not saying Alabama loses but I think this game could be more competitive than people think if Alabama doesn't come with the same energy as last week.

They are 2-2. They are 7 points away from being 4 - 0 with a top 10 win over Mizzou. I wouldn't call them God awful.

I think so. A lot of these games are "trap games" if you don't take the opponent seriously enough.

South Carolina has a tough team that really should've beaten LSU except for a bad call.

Vanderbilt almost beat Missouri.

The SEC is loaded top to bottom with the exception of Miss St. and I'm sure by the time we play Auburn they'll be firing on all cylinders because of course they will.

Vanderbilt has no chance of beating us, but if we don't come out with intensity, this game has the potential of looking like USF

If they didn’t have Vandy on the jersey I’d say yes, but trap game meaning they may win, no. But make no mistake, the Vandy QB is a baller.

Vandy is scrappy, but we should handle them. I would wager strong money that the offensive gameplan will have a heavy, heavy dose of Jam and Justice.

Vandy’s QB is a baller. Dude is going to be a pain in the arse Saturday.

I would hope so. This would be a good week to give Jalen's legs a break and work more on the pocket passing game

Those cylinders are busted with water in em, bro. Unless they turn out to be some completely different locked-in team on the road and just play shitty at home, wouldn't worry about that one despite "anything can happen in the Iron Bowl bro!!" Just no.

Same with Vandy. Their QB is really good and they're playing solid this year, but if the first quarter 'Bama we saw Saturday shows up during any part of the game, it won't be pretty.

USF gave us some trouble on offense with a similar offense and QB. I’m fully expecting Vandy to be annoying for a good chunk of the game

The kid isn’t a great passer but he’s got great awareness of when to use his legs and how he uses them. Their coach also deserves some credit, I’ve been surprised how good he is considering his background isn’t star studded.

I think South Carolina is the trap game because their DL is legit.

I don't know about trap game but their QB is very scrappy, is a good runner and is just good enough of a passer to really burn a defense if they're not paying attention.

Bama has a tradition of playing very flat after a physical/emotional game (e.g. LSU). To me, the biggest challenge for CKD is to mitigate that as much as possible with the team by having them prepared mentally and physically.

Bama will win but I hope they don't go out there and play half heartedly and just expect Vandy to roll over by our guys just walking on to the field.

If we come in to this game like we came out the 2nd half against Georgia
