And I’m not talking about on the field. Every time they panned to him on the sideline he had a sourpuss look, even after OU scored. That’s not a good look and if it reflects his attitude he’s done on Norman.

Gonna be a lot of QBs that look bad against our DL.

He had 1 turnover that you could give a pass on.

The rest were inexcusable irrespective of the comp.

JA has not improved and he has been given every chance. Versus Tennessee he threw into triple coverage while Burkes was wide open for a TD in the middle. Then after the defense bailed the offense out and gave JA the ball on the 5 of Tennessee JA fumbles.

Contrast that with Hawkins at QB . Hawkins moved the team down the field, avoided rushers/tacklers., made the offense work, and had no turnovers. If Hawkins had started Sooners would have won IMO.

He didn’t but their OL welcomed our defenders all night. There wasn’t a pressure they didn’t fold to.

Hawkins got bailed out by one ridiculous roughing the passer call which would have negated his second touchdown which means Oklahoma would have scored a grand total of 6 points the entire second half with Hawkins as the starter

Ya I think Arnold is cooked.

Hawkins looks legit to me. He got dropped into a terrible situation and handled it reasonably well.

He might benefit from a better OC/QB coach. He was in the Arch/Nico/Arnold super QB class and has all the talent in the world but looked lost on and off the field.

When Alex Golesh gets his step up this offseason I would like to see Arnold follow him.

Just think, they let Dillon Gabriel go so jackson Arnold could start.

How dumb was that move?

That kid had a deer in the headlights look.OU had no chance because of him. Their defense was impressive they played really hard and gave the Viles some problems but without help from the O it was a matter of time.

I don't know if the fake toss was a fake all the way. It looked like the running back could have walked in.

Not what I was expecting from JA.

*Could've won*

The fumbles deep in UT territory were the story of the game IMO.

If OU converts those two possessions it’s a completely different game, but even then I don’t think it’s a given OU wins.

From what I saw UT is a better overall team and it wasn’t that close.

Done with Arnold. He had his opportunities and failed on a level not seen here since the 90s. He has no confidence in himself or his own decision making which might be the worst I've ever seen.

Hey State........want a "5*" QB?

Arnold has struggled but until OU fixes the OL, it doesn't matter who the QB is. Houston whipping you at the LOS should have been a sign of things to come.

All true, but regardless the outcome was still going to be the same. Bottom line, Hawkins is the better option going forward but it's still a Band-Aid on a bullet wound considering the OL is horrendous. Hawkins will at least allow plays to stretch and protect the ball

All of this rests on Venable's shoulders as HC. It's glaringly obvious he's focused on the defense and allowed Seth to do whatever on the offensive side. If you're going to run a program you've got to manage all phases and I'm not sure that's happened.
