The University of Arkansas, in coordination with Learfield’s Razorback Sports Properties, is proud to announce a landmark sponsorship extension with Tyson Foods and Walmart. The enhanced partnerships make Arkansas one of the first college athletics programs to feature on-field logos during home football games. The agreement underscores Arkansas’ long-standing partnerships with Walmart and Tyson Foods and provides them with an exciting platform to engage Razorback fans.
The Tyson Foods and Walmart logos will debut on each of the 25-yard lines of Frank Broyles Field at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium starting September 14th when the Razorbacks host the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

As part of the sponsorship, Tyson Foods and Walmart will gain extensive visibility through their logo’s placement on the field, through television visibility and exposure on social media platforms. Additionally, Walmart and Tyson Foods will leverage opportunities to engage with Razorback fans through exclusive sponsorship activations, events, promotions and content collaboration with student-athletes.
“Walmart is proud to be a longtime supporter of our hometown teams at the University of Arkansas and of programs that give students opportunities to compete at the highest levels of academics, business and sports,” said Doug McMillon, President and CEO, Walmart Inc., “We’re excited to expand the ways in which we stand alongside these talented students.”
“At Tyson Foods, we are deeply committed to supporting students, student-athletes, college sports and our local communities. By investing in college education and athletic programs, we aim to foster growth and talent, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation,” said John Tyson, Chairman of the Board, Tyson Foods.
“This is an opportunity to make a commitment to the Razorback nation and elevate our brand both in Arkansas and to fans across the country,” said Donnie King, President and CEO of Tyson Foods.

If Alabama does this crap, they can frick off.
What a shitty thing to happen. I will boycott any brand that puts their logo on Alabama's field.

They gonna hire Sark or Kiffin? They need to pull off a football coaching heist, not put “Everyday great value” on the field.

Within 5 years, the uniforms are going to look like nascar jumpsuits.

True SEC fans buy them at Kroger, not WalMart.

Read today that Colorado State is also doing it because The Rocky Mountain Showdown (their game with Colorado) is being played in Fort Collins for the first time since 1996 and will be nationally televised.

It's cringe but what isn't about college athletics anymore?
Kids go the highest bidders by and large and jump ship whenever they want.
It's a shite show from the AD's down to the donors. Hell Okie State has bar codes on kid's helmets to scan and donate to them.
I do not watch professional athletics because it's all about the money and they are all grossly overpaid actors. The same is happening to college athletics. It's still pretty fun to watch at the moment, but it will deteriorate to a mini-NFL before much longer.

What do you mean? As of now, no brand has done such at Alabama.
You fricks can embrace this corporate version of shite and cheer your school selling out to them, but I'm not that weak and think it fricking sucks.

So you have no options. Ok.

At the rate Nascar is going, within 5 years their uniforms are going to look like college footballs.
That's what happens when you take your existing fans for granted while changing shite up trying to chase TV viewership numbers for new fans.
Haven't watched a nascar race in over a decade, going on almost 2.

No options for what product? Do you have a fricking brain? Did Alabama sign some deal I'm unaware of recently?

No, you keep telling me I don't have options for a product/brand that hasn't even been named.
I mean what the frick?
The biggest thing that keeps me from boycotting companies is that I don't use their brand to start with. For example, I can't really say I'm boycotting Budweiser, because I don't drink the shite to start with. But if I was going to have a beer, it would be something else. Same for someone like Harley Davidson. I don't own them to start with and have no plans to buy a motorcycle. But I will now make fun of anyone who buys a new one.
