So, many AU board posters pretty much guaranteed that Malik's turn around at Liberty was a direct result of Hugh Freeze's QB coaching ability. Freeze was a dynamic QB coach and he's going to take us to the promise land.

I'll give the man time for the rebuild, not calling for his head, but what's the deal here? No improvement in the QB room.

So is Thorne just not coachable? Is he throwing games for $?

Or did we hire Hugh Freeze and we got the Hugh Freeze many of us thought he was?

Freeze put all his chips on Thorne. He could have found a QB in the portal. Looks like it's a losing bet at this point. The next INT the kid throws, JHS might be outwardly hostile.

Hugh better get to whispering to a QB, might need to start shouting.

He needs a QB that can read the field. Hell, everybody needs that. Thorne processes things slowly and just does not see the field. With a good QB his O can be dynamic. We have all seen that.

Evidently, he thought he had a good QB. How could he be so wrong?

I remember when the whole board hated Nix too.

Freeze spent a great part of the recruiting and transfer cycle looking for a QB.

There are 40 other QBs Freeze would rather have, hell maybe 70. But we couldn’t get another QB in.

It’s not like Freeze chose Thorne this year to be his QB over other viable options. Thorne was the only QB we could get. We probably could get him because no better program wanted him.

We are seeing the marriage between a loser football program and a loser quaterback who both think they can do better but can’t.

I hope you’re not drawing any inferences between Thorne and Nix

"Nix should be 4th string" "Daddy ball" "If nix could improve he would've done it by now."

While begging for inferior replacements to start...

Board hasn't changed a lick.

Throne is a very low-energy guy. You can “know” the offense backwards and forwards, and be good in the film room, but if you don’t have good energy, the players don’t respond. The players don’t follow him, they tolerate him.

It’s time to give Hank a shot.

I’ve not once called for Thorne to be pulled. I realize we just don’t have anything.

But, at the same time, Thorne is awful . We’re just stuck with him and we just have to hope he finds that nut each week.

You’re drunk. Seriously, get the frick out of here with that high school sophomore drama bullshite. The “whole board“ did not hate Nix. There were some dip shits on here who criticized him, but that is the minority.

Peyton would then whisper gently into Freeze's left ear: "good riddance"

Freeze will get so mad that Freeze makes him start: I will learn you a lesson here. You're starting the rest of the way, and after you get pounded all season, I'm just going to blame it on you."

I was not a Nix hater, until he left. I was bitter then because I felt jilted as a AU fan. I understand now and respect his decision.

Hugh seems to have the same stubborn ego problem that cost Gus his job

You want a coach with a healthy ego, just not a bad one with an ego.

Yesterday was awful and nobody wants to see it. I dont find 4 INT games very typical.

Dont see a benching changing anything other than schedules and trajectories.

When did jang become an NPC? You sound like a liberal who just got their talking points stuck on repeat with this schedule business. Also, if a benching is going to change those trajectories I'd like to see it because the one we are on is not good.

I will call Freeze “Hugh Harsin” until he proves he can get this team turned around.

First 15 games

Harsin: 8-7
Hugh Harsin: 7-8
