We deserve this simply for anointing ourselves BACK AGAIN! and making threads about going to Atlanta, puffing out our chests, and talking about beating everyone else in the first half on the scoreboard. Because there's no way that could come back and bite us when we're up 21-7, right?!

RIGHT?

Bruh...everybody except some dense fans knew hog fans weren't serious.

The fact is, we don't deserve this. Hog fans have put up with 13 seasons of garbage football. Either the university gets serious about winning or we have to tell them to frick off and quit showing up, quit watching, and quit spending money on them. It's the only message they will understand.

You can be as serious about winning as possible and still not see results though, just look at A&M and what all of their investments have gotten them. Florida made a great hire on paper with Napier and they’re awful too.

It takes a lot of luck and timing to have sustained success especially in the SEC. We just haven’t been able to find the right formula since Petrino.

Arkansas and A&M don't have the right people in places to be successful.

Same with Florida.

Yes and No... It is definitely getting better within the scheme of things. However, a day late and a nil dollar short.

It has been reported that we have a 5million dollar nil program for football. It is now above 12 million, which is still low.

I think back a few years ago, this is crazy man. 12 million dollars a year to give to kids playing football in college while their room/board/education/clothing/nutrition is also covered.

I believe that we have a good OC, Good O line coach, Good Defensive Coaches,

On Fountain... Geeze, incredible recruiter overall... helps others, but the ST's... boy.

The culture seems to be changing to be better and talent is better this year. But we aren't there yet.

I noticed the ESPN FPI has us in the top 25 now.... after losing to the pokes.

The losing culture is still around and yesterday was a good example of that.

Blame whatever wacky happenings during the game yesterday you want to, but this is what the problem really boils down to.

We just don't have that killer instinct to put games away like some of the other SEC programs and coaches do. This was the case under Bert too, but I suspect Pittman's "nice guy" persona and friendliness to the players is the culprit now.

I was hoping BP would come in and help correct this, and I'm still hopeful he can throughout the season. I DID see some progress yesterday in that we kept fighting, whereas in the past we probably don't get to overtime in that game. But this doesn't change the fact that we should've easily won that game and had every chance to bury the knife deeper all the way until the final whistle, and couldn't do it.

I'm not upset that we lost, it's HOW we lost and that we had every chance possible to win - even if it ended up being close and ugly. We're missing that last step of being clutch when it counts, and instead continue to fold under pressure

I want to offer another caveat. I have heard non-stop how much of a hardass Sam is in practice, and on the training. To the point that it has ran some players off. But consider this...

From Covid to NIL/Portal. These players are paid to come here now. They are NOT Pro Arkansas kids overall. Perhaps this change is as much about our culture as anyting given our lower Nil abilities currently???

I don't blame it all on Sam. He was Handcuffed by HY period with his nil drivel.

When Arkansas was good they had Arkansas players on the team.

They played harder and didn't have the loser attitudes that we saw last year.

I would use NIL to try and keep the Arkansas players home instead of spending too much of that NIL on a mercenary from the portal that is burned out and looking for a check.

I'd like see him be a little more of a hard arse on the sidelines at times.

Truth. In state guys play over their star rankings. Texas players are generally over-ranked for views/subscriptions. It just means more to the kids that want to be here. I don't think anyone that didn't grow up a Hog fan can appreciate the feeling we get hearing our fight song. Now imagine hearing it in front of 70k screaming fans.

Give more in state guys a chance. Lock it down. It does "just mean more" when you're from here.

I get so sick of the whiny pitiful types on this board.

Yeah ... Pittman fumbled the ball and muffed the punt.... sure .. .blame that on the guy too.

Give me a break.
