Defense looked a billion times better than last year. Definitely not mad at Baker about this loss.

I don't really understand the tendency from so many Mizzou fans to constantly hate on Baker on this board.
The defense looked quite a bit better IMO, if this same game happens in 2023, USC scores 40+ points. Sure, they had some busts but that's going to happen with some of the talent deficiencies on that side of the ball.

There isn't a ton of talent in the secondary and what talent there is, is mostly young players with little experience.
For instance, PJ Woodland is a 3 star true freshman and Ashton Stamps is a 3 star true sophomore.
Not sure why anyone expected some great defensive performance with those kinds of players vs a Lincoln Riley offense.

I actually think the defense was fine, the funny part is BK spent 2.5m on a coordinator and couldn't get his end of the bargain.
all LSU had to do was score one more TD at any point and they would've been able to put USC away.
Baker can do wonders with a defense but not if the offense can't take some of the pressure off.
BK should've put this game away with the offense but couldn't because hes a fat fraud frick lol

God forbid someone gives up points to Lincoln Riley. Last years team gives up 40+ easily, pretty big improvement
