I think he is suggesting we pepper spray Moore, but I can't get behind that sort of thing.

Has one of the worst overall athletic departments in existence. Don’t believe me? Go look at Mizzou’s ranking in national and conference titles won. If it wasn’t for Mizzou wrestling being in a conference below its weight, the 21st century would be extremely pathetic. Not that the 20th century was incredible but at least there were a few periods for some sports.

Best to just focus on individual players and beating rivals for rivalry trophies. It’s the realistic course of action. Also, participation in NCAA tournaments/bowls (forget ever playing in the CFP. It’s not happening. We blew our only chance to do it) is nice. Even though it denotes nothing about being the best. But participation is better than not participating.

What died yesterday was any hope of Mizzou football having any chance at a title, again. The nine game schedule beginning next year is a death sentence for the program. 6-6 would be an accomplishment of Herculean proportions. Kind of a shame because I truly feel this was one of the better chances Mizzou football has had in my 5 decades of following them . Alas, if you don’t have the QB right, and the OC is a mystery man, and other crap happens, chances go away fast. And it isn’t easy to put together a roster this capable, especially at a school with scant history of winning anything. Oh well, such is life.

Just when I was feeling optimistic about Mizzou sports, and life in general, I read this post. What a downer. I guess I'm just a sunshine-pumping idiot. I hope I get hit by a bus, or contract one of those flesh-eating bacteriological scourges, and the sooner the better. :violin:

It was taunting - and they are emphasing the "standing over a player" this year. It was the right call, especially since Young was not even the one that made the play - he ran over to the guy to stand over him. Stupid emotional penalty that really sucked the air out of the stadium, if you were there you actually feel the change.

Yeah, it was definitely taunting. He stood over the downed opponent and acted like a jackass. And, IMO, the targeting was targeting. If that wasn't called, I'm not sure there should ever be a call. We just made some stupid mistakes - it happens. It still was a close game. If our qb was playing one of his better games, the outcome could have been different. I've got to say the Bama qb played great.

That sounds painful

Yeah, it burns like you wouldn't believe. Kinda like having volcanic magma poured onto your lap while the entire medical staff holds you down. But hey, it seems to get the job done.

Well, I was taught to never cheat. Apparently, the same can’t be said of the Ok. coaching staff. The “victory” should be negated, and the coach should be penalized for being a crook. Maybe a prison stay would change his mind about cheating? At a minimum, he should do 800-1,000 hours of community service, and wear a scarlet ”C” on his sweatshirt if he is ever allowed to coach again.
Tarleton State is likely unusually good this year.

Don't know, but he looked great this weekend, IMO.
No. Several strong conferences is better for CFB.
The team was marginal last year before injuries really obliterated any chances at success. Then, throw in a couple of bad bounces that happen to any team every year, and the result was 0-18. Coming into this year, I was hoping for a tournament bid if things fell into place. The team has been significantly better than I expected.
Not wishing 0-18 on any school. It wasn't much fun.

I've never been prouder of our young men than after that win at UMASS. That stadium is a real snakepit when the crowd gets going.
Yeah, things can go awry if you rush the field after a high-tension matchup with national championship implications. Glad cooler heads prevailed!

re: Mizzou fans, thank you.

Jayden Daniels beat us single-handedly last year. I've never seen anything like it - dude was unstoppable.
Yeah. I guess you think no other markets are important because the critical Louisiana market is already secured   .
Well, we did make them look like the best team ever. Not sure how we did that, but it was terribly one-sided. Oh well, maybe we win all the rest of our games (but not particularly likely       ). I hope UMass is ready for a tough game on Saturday, 'cause we're gonna give em one!
Well, now that we are only a top 25 program, is it ok if we follow through with the commitment to play UMass?
Lighten up. They have lost exactly one game this year.
