He has it made in Oxford. Less pressure, better town, family likes Oxford.
No chance.

You couldn't put this in one of the other handful of threads on this exact topic?

You sound like you’re trying to convince yourself.

Florida > Mississippi
Never say never. Florida will throw a bag at him if they want him.

Lane doesn't strike me as the type to be looking for low pressure. Deep down he wants a roster with top 5 talent being talked about in the same conversation as Alabama, UGA, and Ohio St. And he believes he could have that at Florida but not Ole Miss.

That’s true.
Lane is not winning a championship at Ole Miss, 10 wins is great for them, and that doesn’t seem very Lane-ish.

You are probably right. Lane seems to want a program with zero expectations.

You sound almost convinced.

There isn't much of a mess to be cleaned up at Florida. Napier has recruited well.
He needs to play that true freshman QB if he wants to keep his job. Go all in on the future, or get started on that resume.

Cal isn’t going to whoops he did.
Lane left Tennessee, why wouldn’t he leave Ole Miss?
Not saying it is a good move, but none of us know the egos involved.

He has had 2 chances at that and fricked up both times along with fricking up his final days as OC at BAMA and fricking up in the NFL. Lane wants those things but I don’t think he can handle everything that goes along with those bigger programs. He doesn’t quite understand the politics or the media and how crucial those things are to keep the money flowing.

He's not staying in Oxford.
He's also not going anywhere near that dumpster fire in Gainseville

Lane is perfect for Oxford. He needs to stay put.

The UAA doesn’t.

This thread is ABSOLUTE PROOF that you are not an Ole Miss fan….anybody with a brain in their head knows Lane will take the UF job if offered. That job checks all the boxes for him. I don’t like it, but me not liking it ain’t gonna change a damn thing.

Lane is still family @ UF despite the divorce.

I was told yesterday Florida has the #12 talented roster in college football. It wouldn't be a rebuild if Kiffin goes there.
