R J Young, whoever that is link

2. Jarquez Hunter, Auburn

Hunter has averaged better than 6.0 yards per carry for his career at Auburn, which means that if he was asked to carry the rock as often as Gordon, he'd likely put up Gordon-like numbers. In a sport where a bell cow tailback feels like a luxury item, Auburn has a player it can depend on to pick up hard yards and be explosive in the SEC.

If we can get average QB play, we are going to be dangerous.

Its time for the RB room to produce. I want a 1,000 yard rusher this year. Been too long without one

I'd at least like to see 1k APY from Jarquez. If it's 800 rushing 300 receiving so be it.

We don’t have the Oline this year to run the ball effectively. It’s going to be quick passes to our young but stud receivers to set up the run which may be fine against lesser opponents. If Thorne can’t get the ball out quick enough against elite defenses, we will have some problems. Hopefully the staff will make some adjustments.

At worst, we have the exact same line as last year, and last year we were 4th in the conference in rushing, with no semblance of a passing game to keep defenses honest.

Not saying that we will dominate the trenches, but I dont see how you can make your comment, objectively.

He has been sluggish since his first season. I hope he gets the pop back in his runs

I am just going by the open news of us shuffling OL a couple of weeks before opening day. I can’t imagine we being ok there and the head coach saying out loud that we suck at OL and are trying different combos. Actually a bit surprised that Freeze decided to air it out like that.

Id just like them to be able to pick up a blitz once and a while.....

Seriously, our line will be fine, heck we have almost a two deep now, just have to find the best five in the right places.

Peyton will the same.....our line, our pick up of blitzes, our play calling, and the fact that receivers will actually, well receive the ball.....will make Peyton look like a phoenix rising. And thus it will open up the run game significantly.

Amen brother.

Anyone can be a good running back if all you are concerned with is running the football but much more is involved to be a difference maker at the position. I like Jarquez.

Jarquez and his buddy already shown they are proficient hitting the holes.

Justin Jones

Only having 3 true scholarship RB’s is not ideal.

If the O-line is a lot better than we've seen in the last few years, Hunter will have some fun in the secondaries.
