The state of Texas has only 1 more football national championship the last 50 years than the state of Mississippi.

How “elite” of them

As far as HS football goes, this is probably true. but definitely not true in the college or NFL worlds

Mississippi dick riding their next door neighbors is sad, although understandable, considering you have shite high school football, no NFL teams, and almost zero CFB success.

Poor states tend to take sports more seriously as it provides meaning to their citizens’ otherwise fruitless lives.

Texas is letting us down. They need to start pulling their weight in our battle with the state of Alabama.

It seems there is a misunderstanding.
First of all, without looking I'm guessing Alabama's rosters over the years likely have a lot of out of state players , which is normal but wouldn't be relevant to whether or not a State plays good football.
We are in the top 10 with only 4 which I would agree is a smaller number than a casual fan would think would justify a truly elite program and only 1 of those was recently. That said, it's as many as LSU who I would consider a historic program and I think 1 more than Michigan, another great program.
Texas has been top 5 plenty of times and is amongst the winningest programs in the country.
I don't get the narrative that we've never done anything. We aren't Alabama but I'd say we have as much to brag about as anyone outside of maybe 5 programs, which is pretty impressive.

We're just glad you got out of there when you did. Those Kansas and Texas Tech losses were kind of embarrassing.

High School Football is the answer you simpleton.

I was blown away at how pathetic the Saraland/Mountain Brook crowd was a couple years for the state title game. Maybe this game was an outlier, idk, it's the only one I have been to.

In Texas, an upper classification title game is drawing 40k+

You're being too nice.

For the premise of this flawed thought process to mean anything, you would first need all high school graduates in Texas to play only for Texas schools. And same for all other states.

And that's just for starters.

You are not well versed on Mississippi HS football. Per capita, they produce far more NFL players than Texas.

to what? Don't leave us hanging..

We're aware we have underperformed for a long time, (in spite of holding that one title, not aggy or any other Texas school) but the supreme Court did us a solid and not just leveled the playing field, they tilted it in our favor.

How many titles do your rebs have, I'm guessing so many you can't remember the exact number?

^^^^same poster that welched on the ban bet that Ryan Willams would sign with Auburn.

Why do you lie about Auburn national titles?

The truth
