I hear Chick-fil-A is big in Georgia.

Georgia fans why do they spell it and punctuate it like that?

Just research reviews for the restaurants you see. We ate at some janky sushi joint…should have looked that one up. Everything else was good. Should have no problem finding something.

You getting a golf cart tour of the campus?

Be sure to walk as far away as possible from the streets!

Apparently anywhere far away from the athletic facility, unless you want to get hit by a speeding car or have your kids beaten

No plans to take that. 31 on the ACT as a Junior, going in blind with no study the day after a 12 hour bus ride for a band trip. We're still deciding if it's worth it to retake it to get another 1-2 points. So far, the gain in potential scholarships doesn't seem worth learning math that isn't needed yet to gain some minor upward movement. 4.3 GPA (4.0 unweighted). Has completed freshman year of college already. Being recruited, hard, by every Ivy League school. I didn't even know they recruited. I do not exaggerate when I tell you this child is a genius. Colleges are falling all over themselves. I'm getting tired of the "junk mail."

Wants to go into Biomechanical Engineering. The options with that specific major are limited, so we're only looking at out of state schools if they specially offer that major. We're considering less specific engineering programs at in-state schools like UA and AU also.

In the state of Georgia, the options are GT and UGA. No thanks to living in Atlanta. In Mississippi, the option is Miss State. In Alabama, the option is UAB. In Florida, the only option within the limits of my child's preferred distance requirements is UF (didn't look at the other schools in Florida). UT and Candy are option in Tennessee, but I'm a firm no on Tennessee and Vandy is in a bad location with a huge attendance cost and little to no scholarships that I can see.

In short, the answer to your question is you will never have a child like this one and whatever your alma mater is, they are begging my child to attend.

100% of what I wrote is absolutely true. It's surreal to witness.

Honestly don't know. We just picked a generic tour off the website. Unfortunately, we couldn't get an engineering school tour on the same day. Pretty big knock against UGA as a first impression because that has not been a problem at any other school.
